Usagi stood before her opponent with determination.
She was untransformed though after a rather embarrassing
incident.

*flashback*

"Listen girl, I told you there's a powerful being on
the way here, and you'll never improve if you train at your
strongest. And believe me you need to improve." Declared
Vegeta his arms crossed across his chest, "If you go back to
your normal self and train that way you'll be even stronger
yet when you transform again."
Usagi glared at him, "If I detransform I'm just a
normal teenager, you'd probably end up killing me!"
Vegeta, sighed, "Well if you want it that way." In
the blink of an eye Vegeta flew up to Usagi, ripped the
broach off her chest and flew back to where he was. Usagi
let out a shriek of surprise and slight pain as she was
ripped out of her transformation. Her uniform fell apart
into ribbons before gradually becoming the clothes she had
been wearing before.
"Echi!" She shrieked, realizing what she must have
looked like in-between outfits and slapped Vegeta hard
across the cheek.
Vegeta put a hand absently to his face, 'She's
stronger than she thinks,' he thought to himself, 'that
actually stung.' "Well I'm impressed," he said aloud, "you
caught me off guard though."
Usagi crossed her arms, "I do believe you once told me
NEVER drop your guard, ne?"
	Vegeta just humphed.

*end flashback*

Usagi shook her head and growled at the Saiya-jin; she
was hoping to shake him a little, maybe even get him to drop
his guard. The reaction she got was not what she wanted,
but not entirely unexpected. Quite simply, he laughed.
"Girl you crack me up!" he stated, placing his hands
on his hips.
Usagi brushed another sweat drenched, slightly blood
stained strand of hair from her face.
"Listen Vegeta, I told you not to call me girl! My
name is Usagi!"
"And that's why I call you girl, girl." he shot back
with a grin on his face.
Usagi snarled again, though it didn't suit her and
only brought another grin to Vegeta's face.
Usagi threw another punch at the warrior, which he
jumped clear of and disappeared.
Usagi took a deep breath, took up a defensive stance
and opened up her mind like Vegeta had told her too.
Her eyes darted around following something buried deep
within. Suddenly her eyes widened and she ducked, rolling
to the ground, just barely evading the Saiya-jin no ouji's
attack; a swift cut to the right that would have connected
right below the ribs.
Vegeta lowered himself to the ground, "That's good
girl, you've finally learnt to sense where I am."
	Usagi smiled happily.
"But you weren't ready for the rest of my attack," he
finished, and the blonde's face fell slightly.
	"But I dodged!" she prodded.
"Yes, well that does appear to be the one thing you
excel at. I would have though we'd be done for today by
now."
Usagi stood and grinned, "Well ever since you STOLE my
broach I've been determined to show you up!"
Vegeta raised an eyebrow, "Well then, care to go at
this seriously? No ki attacks, I promise."
Usagi pulled back into a battle stance, "Ok, no ki
attacks though. Last time you shot one of those at me,
detransformed, it nearly killed me!"
Vegeta rubbed his chin and pulled the broach out of
his pocket. He eyed it and then tossed it at the blond.
"Here girl. You'll be more of a challenge this way."
Usagi caught the broach and stuck her tongue out and
Vegeta sighed, "Just hurry up and do your thing!"
Usagi nodded, "Hai! Moon Prism Power, MAKE-UP!"
"Ok girl, let's see what you've got!"

The two exchanged blows for a few hours with neither
yielding. Both Usagi and Vegeta were amazed at how much she
had improved in such short time. Vegeta powered up a little
during the fight though, and started to gain the upper hand.
But in the end a bystander may not have been able to pick
out a clear winner.
Usagi sat down on a rock out-cropping to nurse her
numerous wounds, which, thanks to her powers, were already
healing.
Vegeta sat down across from her. He was covered in
cuts and bruises as well and was regarding Usagi strangely.
The blond noticed this and inquired.
The Saiya-jin crossed his arms. "You have incredible
power for a human."
Usagi grinned, "As much as I take offence on behalf of
the human race, I must admit that technically I'm not."
Vegeta raised an eyebrow, "And you didn't tell me this
before because?" he demanded with an underlying tone of
hostility.
Usagi shrugged and brought her knees up to her chin,
"Well I sort of mentioned it when I told you all about my
past. But I have a lot of horrible memories associated with
it."
Vegeta averted his eyes, "Well I only half listening
to the first part of your story..." he mentioned quickly,
but then pulled out his Saiya-jin pride again, "So explain
now girl!"
Usagi held back a giggle, "I suppose that's the
kindest request I'm going to get out of you. Well I'm not
going to explain it ALL again but I'll give you the
highlights."
Vegeta nodded and Usagi started her story. "Over one
thousand years ago in my dimension there was a time called
the Silver Millennium when all the planets in the solar
system were inhabited. This kingdom of planets was called
the Moon Kingdom because the royal family lived on Earth
solitary moon. Kind of ironic that at that point in time
the Earth was the only planet not TRULY a part of the
kingdom.
"The Queen Serenity ruled over the kingdom alone, with
a single daughter, the Princess Serenity. The princess'
court was comprised of the princesses from all the other
planets, also known as the Sailor Senshi.
"Now at the end the Earth was almost ready to become
part of the Moon Kingdom. Especially since the Princess was
in love with the Prince Endymion of Earth.
"But there was an evil woman named Beryl who wanted to
take the Moon Kingdom for herself and use the ginzuishou,
the Royal Moon Family's sacred crystal of power, for her own
desires.
"As the senshi and even the Prince and Princess fell
to Beryl's power, the Queen Serenity used the power of the
ginzuishou to lock Beryl away in the Negaverse and send her
daughter, the prince, and the senshi to the future.
"A thousand years later they all regained their
memories and destroyed Beryl once and for all."
Vegeta nodded, "So where exactly do you figure in all
of this? You call yourself Sailor Moon but you never
mentioned a senshi of the moon."
Usagi nodded slowly and was about to explain when
Vegeta continued talking.
"But you also said you had to be a princess to be a
senshi, and that would make you-" he trailed off.
Usagi pulled her knees up to her chest, "The Princess
Serenity of a kingdom that no longer exists. And this," she
continued, fingering the chain around her neck, "is the
ginzuishou. Sometimes I wonder if its not more of a curse
than a blessing seeing as how so many people want to get
their greedy hands on it. But then again, without it I may
not have been able to save my friends."
Vegeta sat silently for a while, thinking to himself,
'Such a powerful weapon... And yet while I feel the need to
see it in action I don't want it... Why?' he asked himself,
'Her first home planet still exists... but in a way it
doesn't. It's completely uninhabitable if its anything like
the moon that used to exist here. But she'll have a kingdom
again, in the future, unlike me, if she's to be believed.'
"Why didn't you use the ginzuishou when you were
fighting me, girl? I should think it would have been
useful," he asked, genuinely curious.
"Every time I use the ginzuishou it drains my own
energy. In fact when I used it to destroy Beryl, even with
the help of the senshi, it killed me." she said sadly.
"But you don't have Dragon Balls on your planet, how
are you still alive?" demanded Vegeta.
Usagi smiled, "My only wish was, well actually still
is, to be an ordinary teenager, and that my friends and
loved ones wouldn't put themselves into danger because of
me!" She paused and sighed, "The ginzuishou heard my wish,
the inner senshi, Endymion and I were all brought back to
life, and we forgot everything that had happened. Until the
next enemy attacked anyway."
Vegeta nodded slowly, "A powerful weapon indeed."
Usagi placed her hands protectively around the
ginzuishou. "I know that look in your eyes! Well you can
forget it right now, even if deep down you really were going
to try steal it, which I can tell you aren't! The
ginzuishou will only ever work for a member of the Royal
Moon Family. And that doesn't include you!"
The Saiya-jin eyed the blond, "How do you know I
wouldn't try to take it?" he asked, ignoring the last part
of her speech for the moment.
Usagi smiled, "I can see it in your heart." She
answered simply, "can we go back to Capsule Corp now? The
way the others are both half comfortable with you and yet
still afraid of you leads me to believe they would be
worried for my safety at the moment." she grinned a little,
"Especially since I got dragged out of there kicking and
screaming!"
Vegeta grinned, "Ah yes Kakarotto's mate and that
woman..."
Usagi gave Vegeta a desperate prodding look and he
grinned again, with an evil touch to it.
"If I take you back you have to promise me you'll
continue your training there. And you'll do it
untransformed." he said with a touch of snideness.
Usagi gulped, as much as she didn't want to fight
there was someone on the way to this Earth, she couldn't let
the senshi here fend for themselves knowing she could have
helped. And if she improves enough that the fights back
home aren't as hard and she can keep her friends from harms
way, so be it.
She nodded slowly, "Ok, besides I'm hungry."
Vegeta shook his head, "You and your ravenous
appetite. Come on then." he exclaimed, and without warning
picked Usagi up by the waist and took off.
Usagi screamed in surprise and then quieted. When she
wasn't being dragged by her wrist Vegeta's method of flying
didn't feel that different from her own. They were going a
little to fast for her tastes but when she asked the Saiya-
jin to slow down he just called her a wimp and sped up. She
sighed and turned her head so the wind didn't whip at her
eyes and watched the land go by. Trying to make the most of
the flight as possible.

*****

Back at Capsule Corp Chichi and Bulma were cooking a
meal for the gang and chatting pleasantly away. Well Bulma
was doing most of the chatting, trying to keep Chichi
distracted from the fact that Gohan was off training for a
dangerous battle. It was working for the most part, but
every now and then Chichi would pull a hysterical fit,
which, of course, required Bulma to calm her again.
Currently Bulma was talking about her latest brilliant
idea. "It's almost done now, Otousan only needs to add a
few more things. See Goku got really strong because he
trained in 100 times normal gravity on his ship. An idea
that being on King Kai's planet gave him. And tousan and I
thought it would be a good idea to build a gravity room so
that he can train in it when he gets back." she explained,
conveniently leaving out Gohan and Piccolo as to not
distress Chichi any more.
"Hmm, yes Goku, how long until the Dragon Balls will
be active again?" asked Chichi absently.
"Well it's been only 2 maybe 3 weeks since they were
last used. But we're going to use the Namekian Dragon
Balls, and their year is only 130 of our days. That's 18
and one half weeks, which means we only have about 16 weeks,
4 months, left." she responded succinctly.
Chichi nodded slowly, "I'll be ok I suppose, but what
if that enemy shows up before he gets back?! Then Gohan
will have to fight all on his own and I don't want him to
fight!!" Chichi flung herself onto Bulma's shoulder. The
female genius put her arms around the hysterical woman, she
had done it again. Inadvertently, but still she had set her
off again.

****

Dende sat outside sipping a glass of water thinking
absently about nothing and everything. Krillin, and what he
must be going through in the next dimension. Gohan, off
training with Piccolo, and in a way Nail as well. Goku,
while he never REALLY met the man his thoughts would slip to
what and extraordinary person he must be. And then there
was Usagi and Vegeta, he had dragged her off kicking and
screaming. Dende had seen it all from a distance, but
Gohan, before he had left, had told him not to worry about
it. And at the moment he couldn't understand why.
Dende was pulled out of his reverie as he heard a
scream coming from above him and approaching rapidly, he
snapped his head upwards to see none other than Vegeta and
Usagi coming down in front of him.
Vegeta landed gently and let Usagi out of his grasp, a
nicer landing than she had received last time to be sure but
she still hadn't gotten used to plummeting out of the sky at
a speed faster than a fall.
"Vegeta no baka!!! I think I'm going to be sick, my
stomach can't take those drops!" she exclaimed, clutching
her stomach in an attempt to stop herself from retching.
Vegeta shrugged, "Better get used to it quick then."
Usagi shot up, ignoring the fading queasiness in her
stomach, "Sure mister attitude! I'll go super human and
become immune to everything! Oh on the way here I asked you
to slow down not speed up!"
Vegeta tilted his head upwards and grinned, "I know,
that's why I sped up."
Usagi seethed, "Why you! I- ARG! I can't take it
anymore! I'm going to take a shower!"
And with that the blond stormed off.
Dende shook his head as Vegeta immediately turned
around and started walking in the opposite direction, which
happened to be right near Dende. The tiny Namek-jin watched
him as he passed.
The Saiya-jin stopped momentarily, "What are you
staring at Namek?" he demanded harshly.
Dende shot up, "Ah, nothing Vegeta-san," he laughed
nervously, "nothing at all!" He then proceeded to back away
and rejoin the rest of the Namek-jins.
Vegeta watched him go for a moment and then proceeded
on his way towards the room he had been given.

*****

Usagi shoved the door to the kitchen open as she had
to pass through it to get to her room and the shower, at
least as long as she didn't want to weave her way through
the public hallways, and literally ran into Bulma.
The woman let out a squeal of surprise and Usagi just
fell backwards and stood up again as quickly as possible,
used to running into people by now.
	"Gomen ne Bulma-chan, I wasn't looking where I was
going." she apologized quickly.
Bulma's eyes widened but Chichi beat her to the punch,
"Usagi-chan you're alright!" she exclaimed happily, about to
throw herself into Usagi's arms before she noticed the state
the young blond was in. "Relatively speaking, Usagi you're
covered in blood and dirt!"
Usagi sighed, "Ya, unfortunately Vegeta decided I
would make either a good trainee or sparring partner. I
haven't figured that out yet, then again it might be a third
option, general punching bag."
Bulma ushered Usagi towards a chair, "Don't worry
Usagi-chan I'll show that arrogant Saiya-jin what for!"
Usagi put a hand on Bulma's, "I'm ok really Bulma-
chan, in fact I agreed to continue training."
"NANI?!?!" exclaimed both women at once.
Usagi cringed a little, "You guys are going to need
all the help you can get. And maybe if I get stronger I'll
be able to get my Eternal Broach back! Besides he hasn't
killed me yet, knocked me out yes, but that was sort of an
accident..." she pursed her lips and then started talking
again as she realized she may just have increased the other
two's fears. "But you should see the shape he's in! Sure I
know he didn't use all his power but technically neither did
I and he's in about the same shape as me!" she exclaimed.
Not sure whether to be happy or not.
The two women paused, "You actually hurt Vegeta?"
asked Chichi, amazed.
"And he let you live!?" shouted Bulma, her eyes full
of shock.
Usagi looked a little flustered, "Well ya. Girls he
wouldn't kill me. In fact he doesn't intend to kill anyone
here, well at least not us. He's still a very violent
person but if he knows you he won't hurt you. That includes
us."
"How- how could you know that?" asked Chichi, her
eyes full of confusion. Bulma remained ominously silent.
Usagi twiddled her hands nervously in her lap. "Well
I'm not sure how. But I've never been wrong about anyone,
it's a gift of mine I suppose."
The room became silent for a moment, tension thick in
the air. Usagi gulped and giggled nervously, shattering the
silence, "Well I'm going to go take that shower now." She
declared, sweeping past the two women and away to the
shower.
Bulma shook her head in disbelief, "That girl never
ceases to amaze me. But I don't buy her story, I'm going to
go give Vegeta an earful, watch out for Usagi ok Chichi?"
Chichi bit her lip, "But Bulma be careful ok?"
Bulma threw on her light jacket with a grin, "Like
Usagi-chan said, he won't hurt me! Not if he values his
life when Goku gets back anyway!" she declared, smashing her
fist into her palm to emphasize her point.
Chichi rolled her eyes, "Just don't get him too
angry."
Bulma grinned, "Don't worry! Ja ne!"

******

After Vegeta had taken a quick shower and found some
fresh clothes he wandered down to the nearest kitchen to
find some food. He hadn't eaten since earlier that morning
and his Saiya-jin appetite was poking at him again. Of
course just being who he was gave him little patience, so
instead of cooking something, which he would have preferred
to do over an open fire anyway. He just grabbed all the
fruit, cold meat, and anything else that was ready to eat
and took it outside to find a private spot to eat.
After wandering for a while he found a private spot
that wasn't filled with Nameks, leant up against a tree and
started eating. He was about three quarters of the way done
when he heard someone calling his name. He quickly finished
off the last bite of the apple he had been munching on and
stood up, leaning nonchalantly against the tree. He gazed
over in the direction with the most non-curious look he
could do and spotted Bulma looking for him, steam
practically pouring out of her ears.
Vegeta humphed and decided he was bored anyway, "What
do you want woman?" he demanded roughly.
Bulma whirled around to face the direction his voice
had come from and stormed up to the Saiya-jin.
"Vegeta-san no baka!!! What did you think you were
doing?!" she demanded. Completely ignoring any fear she
might have had towards him.
Vegeta narrowed his eyes for a moment and then
realized she was talking about Usagi, he grinned. "I am
doing what is necessary. You said yourself this is serious
woman, the girl needs to learn how to fight for real."
Bulma put her hands on her hips and gave Vegeta a look
of frustration and anger. "But you could have killed her
Vegeta!" she exclaimed furiously, "You haven't a clue have
you?! You scared her out of her wits when I'm sure had you
been perfectly serious about it she would have trained her
if you really thought she should! She may not like fighting
but she knows to do what is right!"
Vegeta remained silent for a moment, and then his lips
curled into a snarl. "If I hadn't done it my way she would
complain every time... Now she knows better." He answered,
tilting his head towards the sky.
Bulma screamed in anger, "You could have hurt her you
baka!!!! Don't you understand that?!"
Vegeta sneered, "A little pain is a good thing.
She'll have to learn to deal with it." he answered lightly,
"Now woman I'm going to go train."
And with that Vegeta took off in a blast of light.
Bulma was literally shaking in anger, "Arrogant,
heartless, Saiya-jin with no feelings what-so-ever!" she
exclaimed to his vapor trail before storming off.

*****

Vegeta took off into the woods and found a nice open
expanse of land away from everything else. Only one goal
remained in his mind at the moment, there was no Usagi to
train, no Bulma yelling at him. The only thing he could
think of was attaining the level of Super Saiya-jin, and how
he couldn't believe a third class nobody like Kakarotto had
managed to get there before him.
He started some sit ups and push ups before getting
into mock fighting. He would succeed.

*****

About an hour later Vegeta was throwing punches and
kicks at a sortie of invisible opponents. Even including
some ki attacks in the mix. He threw a small attack at a
nearby tree, completely obliterating it. Growling angrily
at the world in general he sat down on a rock to work on his
sensing. Unlike the others he had not sensed since he was
little. It was a new trick for him, and while he had mostly
mastered it he still had a few kinks to work out. Just the
thought angered him, but he crossed his legs and landed on a
rock outcropping.
As calmly as possible in his state he opened up his
senses to the world around him. His eyebrow arched as
suddenly a mostly hidden power entered his senses, and not
far off.
Concentrating with difficulty he tried to focus on the
ki, it was deeply hidden, the person had had much practice.
Abruptly his eyes flew open. "So, the Namek's
nearby..." he muttered to himself. This was interesting.
Piccolo was not far off, and Vegeta was in the mood for a
good spar, even if he was of little challenge, he was a
better sparring partner then Usagi.
Forgetting his sensing exercises he took off towards
the hidden ki.
The wind flew past his face with a violence that would
have injured a normal person. But he had his ki to protect
him, and was accustomed to the feeling by now.
He was no more then a few kilometers off when he
suddenly felt a ki heading straight towards him. Shooting
off to the left he grabbed the would be attacker and sent
him hurling to the ground. The attacker gave out a shout of
surprise and went slamming into the ground.
Realizing who it was Vegeta crossed his arms
arrogantly and floated down to the ground. "So, Kakarotto's
brat ne? I should have known that you'd be near the Namek."
Gohan got up and quickly re-oriented himself. "Why'd
you attack me?" he asked defensively, "And what are you
doing out here."
"You came flying at me kid!" explained Vegeta, "and
what I'm doing out here is none of your damn business. Now
come on out Namek, I'm bored and I want to spar."
Suddenly Piccolo appeared from the bushes. "Did you
sense me or Gohan?" he asked suddenly.
Vegeta cocked an eyebrow, wondering why he was asking
but at the same time not really caring. "You. I didn't
sense the kid until he came flying towards me. I take it
that was your doing."
Piccolo nodded, "We were training. What do you want?"
Vegeta let his arms fall to his sides raised a hand in
proposition, "I feel like sparring and I sensed you. So you
up for the challenge or what?"
"How do we know you won't go overboard?" demanded
Gohan suddenly.
Vegeta shrugged slightly. He knew the kid was worried
about his mentor. And frankly The Saiya-jin didn't care
what they thought, as long as he got a good fight out of it.
"You don't." he answered simply.
Piccolo eyed Vegeta almost uneasily for a moment and
then shrugged, "Ok, sure, I could use a good fight."
	Vegeta grinned, "Here?"
Piccolo nodded and motioned for Gohan to get out of
the way. "You can go home now if you want kid. We'll
continue tomorrow."
Gohan nodded, smiled, and flew off. Confident that
even if Vegeta did try something funny, Piccolo would be
fine.
Vegeta took up a fighting pose as did Piccolo, and the
sparing match began.

******

Usagi yawned lazily as she finished dressing and went
downstairs. The sweet smell of home cooking wafted under
her nose and her pace quickened as she rushed downstairs.
Bulma and Chichi were almost done cooking!
Usagi rushed up beside Chichi, "Is it almost ready?"
Chichi let out a shocked yelp of surprise, "For Kami's
sake Usagi-chan don't sneak up on me like that!!!"
"Gomen nasai Chichi, I'm just hungry is all!" said
Usagi apologetically.
Bulma grinned, "Dinner's almost ready. But you have
time for a nice stroll if you want one."
Usagi nodded, "I should probably stretch out my
muscles a little, be right back!"

******

Gohan blazed over the tree tops before landing gently
back on the Capsule Corp. lawn. He took in a deep breath,
his mom was going to kill him for this one.
He took a few steps towards the main building before
he heard someone call his name. Turning to see who it was,
he grinned.
"Dende! How's it going?" he asked cheerfully.
Dende smiled, "Good, everyone here's really nice." He
scanned Gohan over, "You've been training haven't you?"
Gohan nodded, "Piccolo's out sparring with Vegeta at
the moment. I've got to go face mom now though."
Dende laughed nervously, "I've met your kassan Gohan,
and right now I wish you luck. According to Bulma, who I
ran into earlier, she's really worried and upset."
Gohan plopped down on the ground. "I don't mean to
get her all worried. I just need to train. Maybe I can get
Piccolo to train me closer by..."
Dende laughed lightheartedly, "I think it will take
more then that."
Gohan sighed, "ya. Well I'd better go face the music.
Ja ne!"
	Dende smiled weakly, "Good luck!"
Gohan got up and waved good-bye. "Arigato Dende, I
think I'm going to need some right about now."
Dende smiled, but abruptly his expression changed and
he yelled something to Gohan. But Gohan, not quite paying
attention to either where he was going or Dende, kept right
on going and slammed into an incoming object which being
taller, toppled over him with a screech of surprise.
	"Usagi!" exclaimed Gohan.
Usagi jumped to her feet, "I'm sooo sorry Gohan! I
was just running around, keeping my muscles loose and I
didn't watch where I was going! Daijobu?"
Gohan laughed a little, "I'm ok Usagi, it takes more
than that to hurt me."
Usagi let out a relieved smile "Good. Hey I guess
your training is done for the day."
Gohan nodded and suddenly a look of remembrance passed
over his face. "HEY! Last time I saw you Vegeta had
carried you off! Are you ok? I saw Vegeta back there not
to long ago."
Usagi's eyes narrowed, "I'm fine, thank you! And you
better remember that it was YOUR baka dare that got me into
this mess! Vegeta expects me to train daily with him now!"
Gohan's eyes widened, "He's going to train you
seriously?"
Usagi nodded, "Nimbus better be worth this."
The tiny Saiya-jin gulped, "Umm... one problem. It
only comes for my Otousan. Heh... But hey, we need all the
help we can get against this new enemy! If Vegeta's
training you it can only make things better!"
Usagi glared at Gohan, saying nothing at all.
Gohan groaned mentally, 'Just great! Both Usagi and
Chichi are going to be REALLY upset with me!'
The two talked a while longer, and then, finally,
Usagi tried to convince Gohan to go in and talk to his
Kassan. He agreed, on one condition, Usagi would come with
him

Later that Evening
*******************

A medium sized group of people sat around Bulma's
round dining table. Their expression's ranging from
ravenous to despondent. Usagi was the ravenous one, staring
at the heap for food in front of her with drool practically
hanging out of her mouth.
"Wow Chichi-chan this looks delicious!" she exclaimed
happily.
Chichi, who was sitting directly to her left, smiled,
"Arigato Usagi-chan, but Bulma helped too."
Bulma who was beside Chichi swallowed a mouthful of
food, "Ya, but Chichi did most of it."
Bulma turned to her left and eyed Gohan, "What
happened to your appetite Gohan?" she asked. Although to a
normal person Gohan's eating at the moment might seem like
that of an extremely hungry person, Gohan was a demi-Saiya-
jin and he was eating as if he was sick.
Gohan smiled weekly but said nothing; Chichi had
really chewed him out.
Dende, who was sitting beside Gohan, sipping water,
grinned. "No offence Chichi-sama but you are very scary
when you're mad. I'm not surprised Gohan is not talking."
Chichi's expression was mostly unreadable, but her
voice was friendly enough, "I was only trying to get my
point across. I am Gohan's mother and I have the
responsibility to make sure he gets a proper education."
Gohan averted his eyes, "But Kassan I need to be ready
to defend the Earth when our new enemy gets here."
Chichi crossed her arms over her chest; "School comes
first Gohan."
Usagi shook her head, "Chichi-sama, I hate to disagree
with you, but there is a way to work them together." she
said, "I mean, Ami-chan is Sailor Mercury and she's still
got the best marks in the school!"
Gohan brightened slightly as Chichi's determination
seemed to waver. "How?"
Usagi put her finger to her lip, swallowing some more
food. "Well she studies really hard in her spare time. She
goes to school during the day, well actually we all do and
sometimes we get pulled out of school to fight but Ami-chan
studies whenever she isn't fighting or sleeping. And while
I can't see how she enjoys it, she is happy and is this
close to becoming a doctor." she explained happily.
"And what about you Usagi-chan? How are your grades?"
asked Bulma out of the blue.
Usagi laughed nervously; "Well they ARE better than
they used to be but I've never had much dedication for
school." she sighed, "Ami's probably going to make me take
summer school when I get back... Well I might as well enjoy
my time here." she finished with a smile.
The group around the table laughed, forgetting all the
tension from earlier. Bulma gazed at the food, "Even with
Usagi and Gohan we still cooked too much."
Chichi sighed, "I'm just so used to cooking for Goku."
The rest nodded when as if on queue the door slammed
open and a grumbling Vegeta marched in.
Usagi laughed at his sour expression. "Piccolo beat
you?" She asked, Gohan had filled her in on the sparring
match, but the rest of the group's eyes widened suddenly as
if they expected Usagi to be blasted into the next dimension
then and there.
Vegeta only snarled at her, "No, girl, of course *I*
won!"
Usagi smiled, well it was kinda obvious, he wasn't all
that roughed up, and knowing Vegeta he would only admit
defeat in a sparing match if he was unconscious or dead.
"You didn't hurt Piccolo-san did you?" asked Gohan
with worry.
Vegeta plopped down in the last empty seat and, with
little surprise to the others piled pretty much the rest of
the food on a tray. "He'll be fine brat, I didn't kill
him."
He then sat up again and proceeded to head out of the
room.
	"Vegeta-san wait!" called Usagi.
	Vegeta paused, "What girl?"
	"Eat with us!" she exclaimed.
Bulma laughed, "Vegeta eat with us? He's to stuck up
for that. Besides dinner will be much more enjoyable
without him."
	"Bulma! That's-" started Usagi.
Suddenly Vegeta turned back around and sat down.
"Just for that I'm staying woman." he declared, sat down,
and started eating.
Usagi giggled a little but said nothing, Bulma just
glowered as the Saiya-jin wolfed down his meal. The group
ate happily, only Gohan wondered if Piccolo was ok.

******************

Out in one of the most remote regions on the planet an
angry green Namekian floated in meditation. Thinking about
how exactly he had been beaten. And how to defeat his
opponent next time.
