David took a sip of his dry martini and let out a long sigh, relaxing and enjoying
deeply the bubbles massage from the Jacuzzi. He closed his eyes and leaned his head
on the pad, listening to the low music mixed with the bubble gurgle. Letting his
mind run away of all the business and duties. Moments like this, after an
infuriating day like the one he had today, were an excellent gratification.
 He heard the bedroom door close and smiled slightly.
 "I'm in the Jacuzzi, dear," he called to Fox, taking another sip of martini.
The bathroom door opened and there was Alex giggling.
 "It's me, daddy. You thought I was mom?" he approached to him, squatting by his
father's side.
 "Yeah, I did" he looked at his son, who was putting his fingers into the martini in
order to pick up the olive." Alex! I've told you that that's a nasty habit!"
"Sorry" he dried the olive on his sweater and ate it.
 "Ahhhh, Alex..." grumbled his father, rolling his eyes" If you want olives you can
find them in the bar or in the kitchen, not in my drink, please.
 "But you never eat the olive!" he spitted the olive seed in his hand and looked for
a place to drop it.
"Because you or your mother take it!"
 Alex finally dropped it beside his father's cup and wiped his hand on his pants.
 "Use a napkin, please. Why are you so uncaring? Who showed you such manners?
Alex frowned, in the same way his father did when something disturbed him.
 "Why are you always incriminating me?
 "Alex, I'm not recriminating you. Imagine what will happen if someday, at a
cocktail, you start picking the olive from everybody's cup. What will they think?
Look out, here comes Alexander Xanatos, the great olive burglar! " he agitated his
right hand's fingers in the air imitating a thief and raised an eyebrow, smiling at
his son who was laughing imagining the scene" Do you understand me?
 Alex nodded, wiping the tears from his eyes.
 "Sorry, I'll try not to do that again... in public at least" he finished his
sentence with a big, puckish grin.
"Hmmmm..." David narrowed his eyes, looking at him as if angry" I'm starting to
think that you're spending too much time with your magick master, you're picking the
nasty side of his character.
 "Moi?" asked Alex, feigning surprise.
 "Yes, you!" his father splashed him with his wet fingers.
 "Aye!" the boy took a jump back, falling on his back.
 "How's your grandfather going?" asked David when his son sat again by his side at
the edge of the Jacuzzi.
 Alex shrugged.
"He's still in bed and he was too tired today, I only could see him a few minutes"
he casted his eyes down" Dad.
"Yes?" David took another sip of martini, then realized his son's sad expression.
"Is he going to die?" he asked, looking into his father's brown eyes.
 David held his stare a few seconds, thinking his answer.
 "Alex..." he took a deep breath" Your grandfather is a very old man and he has been
ill too long... maybe his time to rest is coming soon" he sighed" I don't know, he
has had crisis like these before and surmounted them... he's a very strong man.
Alex was looking at his hands, tweaking the edge of his sweater.
"Dad...
 "Yes Alex?" he put one of his hands over his, in a way to comfort him.
 "Do you think that my magick will be able to help him?
 "Er... I don't know. Has Puck taught you any spell that could help him?
 Alex stayed in silence a few moments, then a tear started to roll down his cheek.
 "No..." said with a shaky voice, starting to cry.
 "Oh Alex" his father squeezed his hand and picked up his chin with his other hand"
Don't cry. Whatever happens is gonna be the best for him" he realized what he just
said and tried to explain it" Err... Oh, Alex, I know how do you feel. When my
mother, your grandmother, died I was confused as hell. Just as you are now" David
sighed and his hand fell to his son's lap" She had a cancer and we had to accept
that she was gonna die soon... and I was only 15. In the case of your grandfather is
not so obvious, but... the best advice I can give you is to show him all the love
you feel for him, that way you won't regret anything later..." he remained silent,
looking at the bubbles in silence.
 Alex stared at him, in silence too, nodding slowly in understanding.

Abby sat on the gymnasium floor, she was about to collapse. Breathless, she lay down
and closed her eyes. After hearing from Puck and Nimh all of those stories about the
wonderful women they had met in their lives, she started to be worried about her
physical image. It was true that since the twins birth she hadn't taken the
gymnasium seriously, taking care of two kids and dealing with a Fey husband was good
exercise. But since last winter some skirts started to become too tight... something
to start worrying about.
She took a towel and headed to the sauna, dropping her gymnastics clothes at the
door. The hot steam surrounded her as she sat on the wood bench with a sigh.
"No pain, no gain" remembered her in low voice as the heat started to overburden
her. She exited for a short and cold, very cold, shower and entered again in the
sauna.
 Well, if she was thinking on getting pregnant again she must be in a good shape
before that, she didn't want to carry any overweight during the pregnancy.
How that new girl, or boy, will be like? She asked herself. The magick on Luna and
Robin was growing stronger day by day... and also were those pointed ears inherited
from their father. She couldn't repress a little smile, remembering her
grandfather's reaction when he saw the kids for the first time. What would be the
next child's faculty? Once Puck told her that every Fey had a special
characteristic, which made him or her different from the others. Oberon's reaction
to her new child also frightened her. Two months ago he tried to take Luna to Avalon
and it was something she didn't like to remember, and fighting again was a
nightmare...
 A never-ending nightmare.
 Some nights, since that day, she awaked in the middle of the night with the
horrible premonition that her kids were stolen from her, and ran to the kid's
bedroom only to see them restful sleeping on their beds. After that she wasn't able
to sleep and, like Owen will do, she went to her office an started working the rest
of the night. Until the day Puck didn't notice that, as she took his breakfast to
bed and waked him up with a kiss; he was thinking she only awaked before him, not
that she didn't sleep at all. But that was starting to become a nasty habit and a
harmful lifestyle with all that pressure hanging on her back. Her headaches were
becoming more frequents and she silenced them with analgesics, the worst thing was
that that tactic started to fail a few days ago.
 "Confidence "remembered herself sadly Confidence is the basis of marriage" it was
easy to say, but she didn't find the way to tell Puck her fears without worrying him
or making him get more angry with Oberon. One thing was certain, she shouldn't stay
that way.
What was the secret knowledge the Fey had that make life so easy and joyful for
them? Or at least it seemed to be that way. She has seen Puck concerned many times
but five minutes after that he could be laughing till tears rolled over his face.
How did he get that? She wasn't able to do that, when a trouble nested on her head
it remained there all the time.
She looked at the timer. She must had left the sauna eight minutes ago. Abby exited
the cabin, switching it off and took the second cold shower, trying to let her ideas
get lost with the water.
She lost track of time under the water, as she took back her watch she realized she
had been there more than half an hour. Puck must be waiting for her to put Luna and
Robin in bed, so Abby hurried herself to their apartment, finding Goliath and
Lexington on her way.
"Good night!" saluted quickly, trotting down the corridor.
 When she entered the apartment it was calm, Abby smiled, the kids were in bed, and
it was quite late. She stepped on her bedroom finding Puck reading a levitating book
on the bed while munching  a cookie.
"Ha! You're arrived" said, closing the book and letting it fall over the bed" Where
were you? " asked, arms opened to accommodate her.
 "In the gymnasium" answered Abby, enjoying his hug.
"I see" he fiddled with her wet hair, and at the moment she felt a warm breeze that
instantly dried her long hair.
 "Oh, thanks, dear.
 "You mustn't give thanks to me, it's 30 $ for the hairdryer and 40$ for the
hairstyle" he looked seriously at her enlarging the hand to receive the money.
"70$? Are you a fool?" she smiled, sitting on the bed face to her husband.
 "No, I'm the fastest hairdresser you've never seen.
 "Yes, and the most expensive."
 Puck shrugged, looking at his empty extended hand.
 "Well, now I don't have my purse with me..."
 "That's not my problem, you must find the way to pay me."
 Abby put her arms around Puck's neck, getting closer to him.
"Ok, it seems I've found the way to pay my bill" she whispered, kissing him on the
lips, with a tender and sensuous kiss "It was right?" asked, sitting on her heels.
"Do you mean that was a 70 $ kiss?" Abby nodded" I'll only give 4$ for that. You
still owe me 64$" he gave her a wicked smile, taking his clothes away.

The next day.........The children were playing in the garden, running and hiding
among the bushes in laughs and making a lot of noise with their cries. Puck whistled
loudly, making them pay attention to him.
"Eh! It's lesson time" announced, motioning with a hand towards one of the castle's
entrances.
The two boys run to the door, betting who'll arrive in first place. Luna sighed and
approached to her father who pulled a strand of silver white hair from her sweaty
face" Are you right?" her cheeks were red.
 "Yes, only a little heated, Robin and Alex are better runners than I am.
 "Don't worry.
 "I'm not worried at all" Luna grinned with her father's smile
"Aah, I see" Puck took her hand and both walked to the library.
 The boys were running around the couch, Robin trying to catch Alex.
 "Whoops" Puck grabbed his son" Stop!
 "I win!" cried Alex, jumping on the couch" I win!
 "Eh! Get outta there! Let's start with the lesson. Now, relax. Take your shoes off
and lie down on the floor" Puck waited, sitting on the floor, until the kids did
what he said, the boys still painting" Let's relax. Close your eyes, and take deep
breaths. I'll start counting. One... Two... Three...," Robin gave a small kick to
Alexander, making him giggle,"FOUR... five..." Alex tried to give the kick back to
Robin, bowing his leg in the air but he had moved aside, pushing Luna," Six...," the
girl opened her eyes and pushed her brother back to his place, chuckling," Sev..."
Robin dodged Alex and Luna, who rolled tangled on the floor, laughing. Puck sighed,
leaning against the couch; the kids were overactive today, he must find another way
to conduct that afternoon lesson. While watching them play he sent a mental
connection to Mina. *Brother..errr sister, it's me Puck* in response he felt his
characteristically magical push.
*What happens?*
*Can I bring the children there? Maybe you could tell them one of your stories. Alex
was now holding Luna's hairpin, avoiding her to recuperate it.
*Of course* answered Mina *I'll be waiting for you*.
 "Sorry, dad" Robin rolled by his side, smiling.
"Don't worry" said, ruffling his dark hair" Eh! You two! Come here. Do you wanna go
out for a small visit?
 "Where?" asked the twins in unison.
"To see Nimh, er... Mina.
"Great!" the children nodded, putting their shoes back.
 "Well. Give me your hands.
 "We aren't going by car?" asked Alex, on his way to the door.
 "No, we'll go by... magic" Puck smiled, his eyes glowing. He took the child's hands
and transported himself in front of Mina's apartment door.
 "He lives in here?" Puck nodded, and lifted Luna to the bell.
 "It's open!" cried Mina from inside" I'm on the terrace.
 Alex pushed the door and it opened.
"Wow!" gasped Robin at the sight of the huge living room" Look!" he pointed to the
ceiling, at the musical instruments hanging from it" What's that?
 "An Indian horn" said Mina, entering on the living room wiping her hands on her
jeans " Hi everyone.
Luna approached to him. Mina squatted to receive her kiss.
*That's Avalon?* asked mentally the little girl, looking at the tapestry over the
sofa.
 *Yes, how did you knew?* Mina answered her, using his mind too.
 Luna smiled.
*Intuition*.
 *Do you like it?*
*Yes, it's beautiful.
 *Normal, it's Avalon*. Mina gave her a wink, standing up
"Howd ya?" asked, taking Puck's hand.
 "Better than you" replied grinning.
 "Ha!
Robin was still absorbed contemplating the musical instruments and Alex was looking
at the pictures attached to the walls.
 "You've been on all of those weddings?" asked the young Xanatos. Mina nodded" You
mean that all of those friends of you got married?" Mina nodded again" Then... Why
aren't you married?
 Puck hid his chuckles turning his head and Mina smiled, surprised by the kid's
question.
"Well... It's because... I haven't found the adequate women yet.
 "You say you don't?" mocked Puck.
 "Oh, what the..." Mina bowed her head" Does anyone want an ice cream?" offered,
changing the conversation's theme with a total success from the kids part" Then,
right this way to the kitchen. Follow me.
 "Adequate women, huh?" mumbled Puck, stepping over Mina's foot while guiding the
kids in front of him.
 "Very funny, Puck, very funny" grumbled Mina, pinching him on the back. *You told
the kid to pose that question?*
 *No. I can swear it*.
 Luna looked back at her father, feeling he was using magick to talk with Mina.
*What's wrong?* asked to both adults.
Mina smiled and gave her the same mental magical push she used to give to Puck when
they get connected, startling the girl. *What's that?* she asked, confused.
 *Sorry Luna, it's an old joke between your father and me. Did I hurt you?*.
 *No, it only makes me feel a little dizzy*.
*Sorry again*. He opened the fridge, taking the ice cream away and dropping it onto
the table.
*Be careful Mina, she's only a kid*.
 *Eh, you used to give me pushes much stronger than that when we were kids. You
almost knocked me out a couple of times. Don't you remember how you used to abuse
with me?*.
*It was only playing...*
 Alex frowned, having difficulties opening the ice cream wrapping. Robin brought the
bowls and Luna the spoons to the table, climbing to a chair beside the one his
father sat.
 "Who is the oldest?" asked Luna.
"That question has a paradoxical answer" remarked Puck, helping Alex" Mina was born
when I was 80, but now he's 700 years older than I am.
"738, being exacts.
 "How?" Robin gave them an odd look" It's impossible, if he was born after you he
must be younger than you, mustn't he?
 "Uf! That's a long story. Do you wanna hear it?" everybody nodded" Ok, then, Puck,
the first part is yours...
 "You were the one supposed to tell the story.
"Yes, but you were there when I was born, so, it's you who must talk about my
birth.
"Ok" he took a deep breath" It happened more than 2 thousand years ago, on a dark
and stormy night. The worst storm on Avalon since the magickal island raised from
the profundities of the sea, as a warning about the horrible curse that was coming
to...
 "Eh! That was only a sunny morning.
"I was only adding dramatist to the scene..." the children laughed at Puck's
grimace" Weeell, it was a sunny morning, it's true, when that winged freak was born"
he pointed towards Mina with his spoon, and took a bit of ice cream.
"Wings? Do you have wings?" Robin's jaw dropped.
 "Like the gargoyles?" questioned Alex leaning on the table.
 "No, not like the gargoyle's ones. They look like a dove's wings.
*They weren't vulture like?* asked Puck, licking the spoon. He raised a mental
barrier just before Mina's push arrived, blocking it.
"Show us, Mina, please" begged Luna.
 "Yes, pleeaaaseee" asked the boys" Show us.
Mina sighed, as she raised, leaving her human disguise. Her pale blue hair falling
over her shoulders and dressed with a green moss shorts and a cream overblouse. She
placed the wide overblouse collar towards her back.
 "Where are the wings?, I can't see them" said Alex, staring at her.
"They're here" Mina showed her ring" Wait a moment, I don't want to tear my clothes
with them" she touched the ring, making it turn and glow, instantly the wings
appeared on his back. A pair of white pleated wings, as taller as she was.
 "Oh" whispered Luna" you look like an angel.
 *A horny angel, aren't you?*
 *Shut up, Puck*.
"Thanks, dear" he motioned a small curtsy towards her with a bow of her head.
 The boys stood in silence, mouths opened.
"Go on, Mina, give them the full show, unfold them" suggested Puck.
 Slowly, Mina's wings expanded, separating the white feathers. She was impressive
that way, and she knew it, so she stayed like that letting the children enjoy the
vision. Puck seemed more fascinated with the ice cream.
 "They're bigger than Goliath's" said Alex in his amazement.
 "May I?" asked Robin shyly approaching a hand.
 "Of course" Mina smiled; Robin's touch was diffident at the first time. Luna and
Alex also approached to touch" Watch out! I don't want ice cream spots on my wings"
Luna showed her tiny hands" Ok, ok. Alex?
 "Clean.
 "They're so soft..." muttered Robin, rubbing his cheek against the feathers.
"You can fly with them?
 Puck snorted *Of course you can, like a sandbag will do*.
 "Yes, I can" said Mina, ignoring his brother" But when you can levitate, wings are
really useless.
"Kids, your ice cream is getting warm, and Mina's wings will stay there forever..."
warned Puck, placing his empty bowl on the table.
 "That's true" Mina folded the wings and turned her ring again, making them
disappear" Go back to the table" he shapeshifted on human" Puck, continue, please.
 "All right. The newborn became an attraction, he was the only with that kind of
wings, there were some the Fey with wings, but they were fairy like, not
feathered... Oberon was proud of her, also Titania. She was so cuuute..." he glanced
an ironical smile to Mina, batting his eyelashes quickly" But then appeared Sheila,"
Puck clapped his hands" she claimed him to be his servant. And Oberon had to accept
that against his own wishes.
 "Why he accepted?, he's the king, he does as he pleases" Alex inquired.
 "Yes, but Sheila was Titania's sister" explained Mina" and as she wasn't his
daughter she wasn't under his command. Oberon, Titania, Sheila and Diakos are the
elder fairies, the only four who survived the great war against the fourth race,
which finished with the fourth race extermination. After the war Titania and Oberon
got married and sired the new fairy breed: the Children of Oberon.
 Robin's eyes were wide open.
"Which war? What's the fourth race? How was the older breed?
 "Hummmm..." Mina scratched her chin" That will lead us to another story, and that's
really a looooong story; I know it on verse, Sheila made me learn it, and it takes a
long time to tell. Better another day" she motioned with a hand towards Puck, to
make him continue.
 "So, the newborn become Sheila's servant, as I was Oberon's servant... When she was
about 130 Sheila took her away from Avalon with her. When they returned, eighty
years after, that was the first time we really met, Mina looked nearly as old as
you" he pointed to Robin and Luna" I looked like a ten years old human child. And
she took her to the throne hall, making him recite the whole war's poem for Oberon,
in the elder's tongue. Oberon got really angry with Sheila for teaching his child
the elder's tongue, because, to avoid a new war, that tongue became forbidden and
only the elder's knew it" Puck shrugged with an evil grin" But dad couldn't do
anything to stop her on doing what she wanted to" he chuckled.

 Avalon, 1800 BC

Oberon looked at his wife, listening to the last verses of the war poem from the
young Sheila's servant.
 She was smiling at the efforts of the child to recite the poem correctly and also
fighting with the tiredness and the sleep which were over him; he had been reciting
for more than ten hours without resting. Puck had been very quiet the last hour, she
realized, looking for him with her eyes; since the poem recitation started he had
been scuffing around her and sighing in annoyance. Titania found him sat on the
floor leaning against Oberon's throne back, eyes closed, asleep. She gave him a
magickal pinch, making him wake in a jump and indicated him with a wave of her head
to pay attention. He replied with a exaggerate boredom grimace, making her smile.
*Patience, Puck, it's already finished, take your place at Oberon's side*.
 *But, my queen, you said that four hours ago. I can't understand a single word of
what he's saying, I'm bored, and tired, and hungry, and my feet are aching...*
 *Shhh, believe me, it will be finished on a few minutes*. She paid her attention
back to the poem. Suddenly the little orator interrupted him, mouth opened and a
terrified look in his eyes, he had forgotten the final verses; he looked at Sheila
in despair, searching for any help.
 "The crown" muttered Oberon" The crown's promise.
The child nodded, remembering, and recited the final verses much faster than he had
been doing with the rest of the poem, finishing with it with a relief smile.
The presents clapped and Oberon said something to him in the elders tongue.
Hesitantly his son answered, his cheeks blushing. Sheila, with a wide smile on her
face, kneeled by her servant's side and hugged him, whispering fondly her
congratulations.
 Puck was surprised with that: sometimes, Oberon had congratulated him for something
he had done, but not at all in that way, he simply smiled and nodded in approval. In
fact, Sheila was also kissing him!
 "It was a long ago since the last time I heard the whole war poem, but never with
such a young orator. Congratulations, you've done it very well" congratulated
Titania" Aren't you tired?
"A little" he clenched his jaw to hide a yawn, leaning against Sheila.
 "Puck" called Oberon.
 "Yes, my lord" he stood by his master's side.
 "Take him to have dinner and to rest.
 "May we join you dinning on the garden?
 "No, he's too tired" Oberon stood up and offered his arm to Titania, making their
way to the garden. Everybody followed them, exiting the throne room.
 Sheila whispered her night farewell to her servant, kissing him on the forehead
before leaving too. Now, when they were alone, Puck looked at the other child with
obvious dislike. He'd preferred to go down to the gardens and join the party, not to
have dinner alone with that winged brat.
 "Hi, I'm Cupid.
 Puck frowned.
 "My name's Puck.
"What happens?" asked Cupid yawning" Why are you...
 "Don't try to be kind, you've ruined my night" said with an angry tone" The kitchen
is this way" he started to walk quickly down the room. Puck, being taller than the
other, could walk more faster, so Cupid flew to reach his side" It's forbidden to
fly inside the castle, specially on the corridors" reproved with a harsh look" It's
very impolite" the truth was that when he was unseen he didn't respect that rule,
but bothering the kid made him feel better.
 "Sorry" muttered Cupid, stepping on the floor" I didn't know that" he trotted after
Puck in silence to the kitchen.
 "What do you want for dinner?" asked roughly.
"Huh, some fruit will be fine, I don't want to bother you.
Grumbling something Puck brought a fruit plate to one of the tables, sitting there.
Shyly Cupid took one of the pieces and bite it; while eating he looked warily at
Puck, wondering the cause of his bad mood. He extended a faint mental link to him
and in response he got a hard magical push that made him  fell out of his seat,
stunned with the pain.
 Immediately Puck regretted what he had done, if he was in a bad mood for not being
in the garden party that wasn't enough reason to hurt him in that way.
"I'm, sorry; I beg your pardon" Puck approached to him, extending his hand to help
him.
Cupid looked at him, tears forming in his eyes, refusing to take Puck's hand.
"What happens here?" asked Phoebe entering the kitchen, staring at the two
children.
 Cupid and Puck looked themselves.
 "Nothing" explained Cupid, wiping his eyes" We were playing and I fell out of my
seat.
 "Are you all right?" The weird sister verged to them.
 Phoebe lifted Cupid, placing a hand on his back, under his wings.
 "That's nothing" smiled" you don't need to cry for this. You've done a great job
with the war poem, I once tried to learn it but I left it on the first seven hundred
verses. You must be very bright" she looked down to Puck, dropping Cupid on the
floor" Not like others" muttered.
 Puck lips moved on a unspoken word, but the glow in her eyes warned him not to
continue casting the spell. She took a wine jar and left the kitchen.
 "She's beautiful" commented Cupid.
"She's idiotic. Thanks for not telling her what happened.
Cupid shrugged.
"Why you don't like her? She doesn't like you too.
"She's Phoebe, one of the three weird sisters, when you meet them you'll know why I
don't like them. Oh Cupid, stop yawning, you've made me yawn too.
 "I wanna go to bed" he rubbed his eyes" I'm tired, and my head is aching.
 "I'm sorry, did I hit you so strongly? I'll take you to my bedroom, do you want to
sleep with me?
 
"Dad, you were very rude with her!" reproved Robin.
 "I'll never be so churlish to anybody" promised Luna, taking her father's hand" Not
in that way.
 Mina smiled, placing the remaining ice cream on the fridge.
 "He wasn't the only one to be unpleasant when in a bad mood, remember that nobody
is perfect.
 "That was the way you became friends?
 "Humm, at that time we weren't exactly friends, ours was a love"hate relation.
 "Why?
 Puck cheeks blushed a little.
 "Because I was jealous with him and he was very annoying with me.
"Why you were jealous?
 "Because of the way Sheila treated her; while Oberon was almost always reproving me
and boring me with serious things, Sheila was always playing and bringing her to
amazing places, doing exciting things and... flying down the corridors with her. For
example, when it was raining they were running and laughing under the rain on the
gardens, while I was bored to tears with Oberon inside the castle... I was full of
envy.
 "And I knew that and used it on my favor, pushing him to do things he wasn't
supposed to do" she grinned"  Do you remember when we sneaked to the west cliffs?
 "Yes, I remember" Puck smiled" The weird sisters caught us and took us to Oberon.

 Avalon, 1730 BC

Oberon casted an angry look towards the two kids in front of him, who were looking
at their feet in silence. Cupid knees were scraped and Puck's pants had several
tears. The weird sisters were behind them.
 "My lord, we've found them on the west Avalon cliffs" said Selene.
 "Go find Sheila" ordered their master, with a reproachful sigh.
"At once" said the three young women in unison, vanishing.
 "What did I say about those cliffs, Puck?" asked Oberon sat on his throne, tapping
the floor with his right foot with impatience" Tell me.
"That the wind there blew too strong and they were dangerous" answered in a very low
voice.
"What was that?"
 "That the wind there blew too strong and they were dangerous" repeated a little bit
louder.
"Ah, I see you remember what I said. So, if you remembered, why did you two go
there? You were allowed to do that?
 "No" muttered both kids.
 "Puck, you've disobeyed me again" his voice sounded stern" What must I do with
you?
 Silence.
 "What happens, my bother-in-law?" asked Sheila appearing beside him
 "Those two "free spirits" went searching for adventures to the cliffs; the weird
sisters found them" Oberon looked back to the kids" Puck, you're punished until the
next harvest moon, let's see if a few months without your magical powers and hard
working makes you think about disobeying me again.
 "Yes my lord" accepted with a quaver in his voice.
 "Cupid" called Sheila in her smooth, honeyed voice" Puck is being punished, do you
have something to say about that?
The boy cleared his throat, looking at a blood drop rolling down his knee.
 "It was... all my fault. It was me who suggested to go to the cliffs... Please,
Oberon, don't blame the Puck, I'm... the culpable.
 "Cupid, your confession does nothing about Puck's fault, he disobeyed me doing what
you suggested.
 "Well Cupid, then I think it's correct that you share Puck's punishment" Sheila
said softly" You forced him to do something he mustn't" her pupil looked up at her,
surprised, it was the first time she punished him and he found the punishment
excessive"  Do you agree?
 He really didn't like the idea at all, but nodded in approval. In the corner of his
eye he saw Puck looking at him with his head still lowered, and gave him a wink.
They'll find the way together to make their punishment amusing.
"Indeed, Oberon, I needed to talk with you" Sheila continued talking" I must leave
for a time and I can't take Cupid with me, will you accept him for your service
during my absence?
 "Of course, my sister-in-law.
 Cupid's moan was audible as he begged at her with his eyes not to leave him in
Avalon.
"I'm sorry, my little bird" Sheila knelt by the child, caressing Cupid's shocked
face" but I must pay attention to some important affairs and you're still too young
to come with me.
 "Are you leaving because you're angry with me?" asked with his lips trembling.
"No, I'm not angry with you, but I'll be very upset if I see you cry, so, calm
yourself. I'll be back soon, believe me. And from now you must obey your father
Oberon and help your brother Puck in all of his duties, will you be able to do that
for me?" she hugged him as he nodded" I love you, my little bird.
 "I love you too" whispered Cupid with his face buried in her red curly long hair.
 Puck started to rise his head, but when he found Oberon looking severely at him, he
immediately casted his eyes down again.
 "Oberon, please, give my farewell wishes to Titania" Sheila got up and placed Cupid
beside Puck, before vanishing with a green flash.
 A few seconds after that a white glow surrounded the two kids. Cupid suddenly felt
like if Oberon had placed a heavy wet and cold blanket over his shoulders, which
restricted his movements, making him pant.
 "Now, you two, go to the kitchen and see how can you help Mireiya in there.
 Puck made a small reverence and pushed the stunned Cupid towards the exit.
"What's happening to me?" asked to Puck, leaning against the corridor wall" I feel
so heavy..." he gasped for air like if he were choking.
 "That's the magic lack, you'll soon get used to that. It's a part of our
punishment.
 "It's worst than feeling ill" he took deep breaths, tranquilizing himself" How many
time are we supposed to be like this?
 "Five months" Cupid looked horrified with that" But if we are very pleasant with
Oberon he may forgive us before the harvest moon" lied Puck to comfort his friend.
When Oberon settled a punishment he never forgive the punished, he was very strict
with that.
 "Then I suppose I'm not able to heal my knees, am I?" Puck waved his head" Oww!
They're starting to hurt. Let's go to the kitchen, maybe someone there could help
me.
 "Maybe..." he placed one of Cupid's arms over his shoulders, helping him to walk.
 Mireiya, the castle's cooker approached to them as they entered on her kitchen,
waving her head.
"Ah, Puck" she sighed" What you've done now? And you too, Cupid. I can see you're
punished.
 "We had a little accident at the cliffs. Will you be so kind of healing my knees,
Mireiya? I'll give you one of my most beautiful feathers in exchange if you do
that.
 Mireiya laughed at Cupid's proposal, she sat him over a table and placed her hands
over his injured knees, making the wounds disappear.
"Thanks" the little Fey smiled, expanding his wings" Which one you choose?
"None" she pushed his wings down, folding them" How many time are you punished? And
how is that Sheila punished you?
"We must share the punishment until the harvest moon" explained Cupid rubbing his
healed knees. The magical recovery always gave him itch.
 "That's a long time... And you'll be here "helping" me, true?" she grinned as the
children nodded" Then, why don't you fetch some raspberries for the dinner dessert?"
she gave a basket to each one" But I don't want you picking one and eating three,
ok?
 "And if we pick three and eat one?" suggested Puck with an evil grin.
"What if we didn't"

 "Then was when we become true friends, we were together all the day, we also slept
together. Your father used my wings like a blanket" explained Mina, making the spoon
roll over his fingers" Sheila returned four years after, and by that time Oberon was
a "little" tired of me" she chuckled, remembering.
 "Yeah. Do you remember the time when you slapped him with your wings?
The two Fey roared in laughs.
 "Seesh! I was upright on his throne, I didn't know he was behind me and I suddenly
unfolded the wings, slapping him on the face. I almost made him fall to the ground"
he wiped a tear from the corner of his eyes, the children were also giggling" It was
when I decided to learn to fly with my wings, and in the beginning I did like the
gargoyles, so I was used to climb to his throne to jump from there and glide in the
air. Of course I got a great row for that. Sheila also laughed a lot when I told
her, and she was proud of me because I finally learned to fly by my own, not
levitating. Then she took me to our first tour through the planes.
 "I missed you a lot those four hundred years at Avalon...
"What are the "planes"?" asked Robin fiddling with the bowl.
 "They're like... other planets, to explain it on a simple way; and to travel
between them you must traverse the Void; and Chaos rules the Void. So, when you
start traveling you don't know where you'll arrive. But Sheila's gift was to mold
the chaos, by that she dared to travel between planes.
 "Yes, but it was still dangerous..."annotated Puck" Do you remember how did you
return from that tour?

 Avalon, 215 BC

 "WHAT!!!" cried Oberon, clenching the throne's arms with his hands, making them
crackle.
 "Yes, Cupid has been possessed by a marauder in the Void" Sheila looked so stunned
that it seemed she was going to start crying in seconds" I don't know how it
happened, he was beside me and when I turned to him I saw the marauder entering on
his body. I can't imagine how it passed through the magical barrier. What are we
going to do?" she whispered in despair.
 Puck placed a hand on her shoulder and Titania hugged her sister.
 "With Diakos help we can exorcise it" said Titania, looking at her husband" At
least we can try.
"And kill him in the process?" he returned her a stern look" Sheila you mustn't be
traveling through the Void, and I can't understand why you took Cupid with you this
time.
"Oberon, what I do with my life is my own problem" she warned, taking two steps
towards him.
 "Yes! But your servant is MY SON! And I don't want things like this happening to
him! Can you understand this, you fool?
 Puck shrugged, Oberon was getting angrier and angrier since, a few minutes ago,
when Sheila suddenly arrived with the bad news... In that occasions he wished to
become invisible. Oberon's rage was unpredictable. But in this case his rage was
quite comprehensible.
 Titania touched slightly Puck's arm, making him follow her out from the room and
closing the door behind her. Oberon and Sheila's cries were still audible.
 "We must let them argue, if they don't finish killing themselves they'll find a
solution" Titania's smile was sad" Don't worry, Puck, Cupid will be among us again
soon.
 "My queen, what's a marauder?" asked a worried Puck sitting beside her on the
window seat.
"That's a type of wicked fire spirit which prowls through the Void, they feed from
corruption; they're easy to fight because they don't have a physical shape... If
that marauder has Cupid's body it means it's draining his soul, and the more soul it
drains, the more powerful it gets..." Titania sighed" Puck, will you be so kind to
bring me some tea?
"Of course, my queen" he stood up, leaving on the run through the kitchen.
 "Puck!" cried Mireiya seeing him entering the kitchen like a tornado" What are you
searching? Stop doing that mess!
"Where's Titania's teapot?" asked panting.
"Here it is" she took a copper teapot from a shelf" What happens? I've never seen
you so much pressed for a tea...
"Does the mountain spring have water at this time?" he snatched the teapot from
Mireiya's hands.
 "Yes, but...
 "Thanks!
With a flash of light he disappeared from sight, only to appear a few seconds after
with the teapot dripping cool water from the mountain spring. He took a pot out from
the stove and dropped the teapot in its place.
 "Where are Titania's teacups?
 "On the same shelf than the teapot. Wait! Slow yourself or you're going to break
them!" Mireiya closed her eyes at the sight of the silver tray and the Titania's tea
service flying down to the table" Aye! Puck! Stop!" she heard a "tchink" and opened
her eyes. On the table was the tray, ready for the tea, and the Puck grinning to her
beside the stove.
 "Did you think I was going to smash it?" he mocked.
Mireiya sighed, nodding.
"What's happening with you, Puck? In fact, you have a weird look... I mean, weirder
than usual...
 "Observant as always, aren't you?" he smiled briefly" Cupid is on trouble.
 "Did he come back?
 "No, only Sheila come back, that's the reason because he's in trouble" he glanced
at the teapot" How many time takes the water to boil?
 ""Water doesn't boil if watched".
"Nonsense" Puck casted a spell over the teapot and the water started to boil at
once" I must have done that first" he placed it on the tray, and picked the tray up"
Thanks Mireiya.
 As fast as he come he left the kitchen, making his way back to Titania.
 "Here I'm, my queen" he placed the tray on the window seat.
 "Puck, how you've done so fast?" asked Titania surprised, taking the teapot. Puck
smiled in response" Why you didn't bring a cup for you? I supposed you were going to
have tea with me...
 "Ow! I forgot" he lied, he didn't think Titania will want him to have tea with her.
There weren't cries from the room they had left before" What happens?" he pointed
with a thumb towards the door"They're a...
"PUCK!!
 Oberon's cry startled him. He straightened his shirt and opened the door.
 "Yes, my lord?" he asked gingerly.
"Do you have any Cupid's feather?" he seemed more calmed than before.
 "Yes, my lord, in my bedroom I keep a few of his feathers.
 "Then bring us one.
"...please" added Sheila in a soft voice, leering at Oberon.
 "At once" he turned to hide his smile. That assignment was the perfect excuse to
break especially restrictive rule, so he flew at high speed to his bedroom, enjoying
it. When he arrived back to the throne room he lamented not to have found the weird
sisters in his way, only to bother them flying in front of them" Here it is" he gave
the white feather to his master. Sheila wasn't there" May I ask what are you going
to do with that, sir?
 "A magical prison cell for Cupid. Come and you'll learn a new spell. Titania, will
you join us? We may need your help.
 "Of course" she left the tea cup on its plate.
 "Puck, accompany my wife to the dungeons. I'll join you there.
Sheila was there, almost finished drawing a ruined circle with a charcoal piece on
the floor. 
The circle was about 4 meters wide. She broke the charcoal in two and gave a piece
to Titania, which started drawing on the other side.
 Puck looked at the magical symbols, trying to read them. He couldn't, they were
written in the elder's magical language; once Oberon told him that the spells casted
in that language were much more powerful than casted in the usual faerie language.
It meant it was an important moment.
 Oberon descended the stairs, carrying two swords and a wooden box. 
 "Puck" he unholested and gave him one of the swords, holding the other" The sharp
blades of these swords are made from cold iron, if the spell fails we must use them,
do you know what it means?
 Puck nodded, looking at the sword he held with aversion; that was a mortal weapon
against faes. Oberon was saying they must kill Cupid if the spell didn't held him
inside the circle...
 "Y... Yes, my lord.
 Oberon hung his sword from his belt, and opened the wooden box, there were a pair
of leather gloves with a silver embroidery and a metal collar with engraved runes.
He put on the gloves and took the collar, it seemed to be very heavy. Puck felt a
shiver run down his spine, the collar was also made from cold iron.
 "The circle is finished" announced Sheila, her beautiful face was smutted with
charcoal dust. 
She placed the Cupid's feather in the middle of the circle and exited from it while
Oberon entered, becoming invisible.
 Titania placed herself on the opposite side of the circle where Sheila was,
starting to sing the spell with her sister.
 Puck felt his heart beating hard in his chest; his hands, holding the sword cuff,
were sweating. He was afraid of what will appear in that circle, and with the
possible fight that will come if the spell failed; he knew he won't be able to hurt
Cupid, much less to kill him. A bright swirl rose from the floor with a hot breeze,
and Puck closed his eyes. The hot air burned his face skin like fire. Something was
crackling on there and the air was becoming hotter and hotter. He turned his face to
protect himself from the heat. *Be strong, Puck, don't let it defeat you* Sheila's
kindly voice echoed in his head, encouraging him. He also started to cough, the hot
air was asphyxiating him. Now he couldn't breathe, the air was so hot that burned
his lungs. His legs were trembling by the wind's power and he took a few steps
backwards, leaning against the walls. The stone touch was also like fire.
Suddenly, nothing.
The wind and the heat were gone. There were only pants. Puck opened his eyes and saw
Cupid inside the circle, now he looked as older as he did, plane traveling was also
time traveling. He seemed to be a little taller than he, and his wings had also grew
with him, his hair was longer too.
 "Brother!" exclaimed Cupid" It's been a long time! I'm so happy to see you
again...
 *Puck* Sheila spoke again in his mind *Don't trust on him. He may look like Cupid,
but he isn't Cupid. He's talking to you because he feels you're the less powerful of
us, don't let him confuse you.*
 "I've missed you a lot, Puck" Cupid, or whatever it was, extended his hand towards
him, grinning.
*Don't take his hand!*
*Sheila, you're frightening me. He's Cupid, he looks normal, don't you see him?*
*Things aren't what they look like, Puck* said Titania.
 "I was always talking to Sheila about all the things we..." when Cupid stepped over
the charcoal circle he jumped back, hissing" What's that?" asked, confused" Why I'm
trapped on here? What's happening Sheila?" he turned to see her.
 "Shut up, marauder.
 "What?" he looked truly surprised" It's me, Cupid. Why are you doing that to me?
"Because you're not Cupid" said Oberon appearing behind him and closing the iron
collar around his neck.
 Cupid snarled in pain and fell to the ground. Oberon jumped outside the circle.
Then Cupid's body started to change. His hair and his wing's feathers turned black,
his fingers turned into talons, his fangs now were longer as gargoyle's and his eyes
were red. His clothes also changed, becoming a black skintight shirt and pants.
He sat on his taloned heels and scratched in vain the iron collar with a guttural
groan. Puck was looking at him, so horrified that he let the sword fall to the
ground.
"Oh, brother..." he muttered.
 The marauder growled, angry.
 "What do ya thing you're doing, stupid fae?" recriminated to Oberon with a hard
look in his, now, red pupil less eyes" Do ya think you can hold me in here?" he
laughed, showing his long fangs.
"Silence" ordered Oberon.
"Ha!" cried the marauder, turning and looking at the presents" You don't have any
power over me! You hear me?" he rushed to Puck's side, inside the charcoal circle,
frightening him with his mad expression" What happens with ya lil' fae?" asked
mockingly" Are you afraid of your old friend?" he licked his lips in a obscene grin"
It's me, your bro, don't you remember me?
 Sheila stood by Puck's side, picking the sword from the floor. The marauder snorted
and turned to Titania.
 "Mommy..." whispered cruelly, with a pitiful look" I knew how your poor son misses
you..." his voice turned harsh" If you knew the immense pleasure I'm having tweaking
your son's soul... his pain feels great to me" he licked his fangs with a wicked
giggle.
 "Silence, I've said!" Oberon hit him with a light shot from his finger, making him
fall to the ground.
 The marauder shook his head, still giggling.
"Remove this damn collar from my neck and I'll show ya what's a real light shot" he
defied Oberon, expanding his black wings" In fact I'll show ya how the real magic
is, as the fourth race new king taught me...
 Titania, Sheila and Oberon's eyes opened wide.
"What are you suggesting, marauder?" asked warily Sheila.
 "I'm suggesting nothing. You aren't the only survivals from the old war, there's
also a new breed of the fourth race" he sat on the floor, rubbing his chest where
Oberon had hit him" They're only waiting for the adequate moment to come back and
defeat you, as they must have done long ago...
Oberon frowned.
"Where? Where are they?" he asked.
The marauder chuckled, wagging a finger.
"Tsk, tsk, tsk... Do ya think I'm gonna tell ya?" he laughed loudly" your more
stupid that  I thought!
 Oberon's eyes were two narrow slits, glowing with a dangerous green light. Titania
walked up to him, placing a hand on his shoulder, remembering to stay as calm as
possible. Sheila was speechless, looking at the marauder by Puck's side.
 "But..." the marauder stood up, pleating his black wings on his back .I could tell
you... he raised an eyebrow with a devilish smile" ...if you pay a reasonable price
for this information.
"What are you talking about?" asked Titania after an cumbersome silence, pressing
softly Oberon's arm.
"Hmmmm.... the marauder smiled and looked at himself" I must admit that I definitely
like this material body... Give it to me and I'll tell you where you can find the
fourth race" he smirked" It's a really cheap price for such a vital information... a
bargain.
"No!" said immediately Sheila.
 Titania looked up at Oberon, his face haven't changed a bit, and he looked as if he
was about to explode really soon.
"What do  ya say, lil' king?" the marauder placed his hands on his hips, ignoring
Sheila's reaction.
 Oberon took a deep breath and tapped Titania's hand on his arm. Looked at her and
nodded, taking a step forward and talking.
 "Even if what you're saying is true, even if you were the only that held the key
which will destroy the fourth racer forever... I'll never sacrifice any of my
children for it" he looked right into the marauder's red eyes, the green fire still
glowing in his eyes" Never! You chance to leave is gone and the only chance left is
your destruction... Puck!
Puck jumped startled.
"Y..yes, my lord?
 "Go for Diakos and bring her here for an exorcism.
 Puck nodded disappeared on a flash of light.
"What happened next Dad?" asked Robin
Puck put his arm around Mina's shoulders and smiled "Well, as you can see we got
Nimh back into his own body. Diakos was able to trap the demon in a amulet and then
he threw it into the 4th dimension where it will never return."
Mina looked sad "After that, Sheila was never the same..that's when she decided it
was time to leave Avalon for awhile."
Puck gave Mina a tiny smile "Hey, cheer up. You had fun with the others and me while
she was gone. At least Oberon wasn't a Mab"
Mina wince, "Mab, not funny Puck"
Alex looked confused" Who's Mab?
Mina looked at the twins and Alex" Well, Queen Mab is Oberon's mother. She was the
ruler before him. She was a good ruler until she started to want more."
Puck continued" She wanted everyone, gargoyles, humans and us children to be called
the children of Mab. Oberon decided that he had to stop her."
Mina said, "So he tramped her in a parallel world where she could rule all."
Puck snickered"Only problem was that there is no one there to rule. The world only
has animals and plants that cannot be magically altered."
" I'm glad Mab isn't around. She was worse than Oberon before daddy O sent her away.
Let's just say that if she was you all wouldn't be here."
The twins and Alex swallowed hard. Puck chuckled" Thanks, Mina. I have a new scare
tactic to use on them."
"No problem."
Luna asked, "so, seriously what are you going to name your baby?"
Mina shrugged, "I don't know yet. But enough about this, let's have some fun..who
wants to play Playstation I got all the new games. I'm not into technology but I
thought you guys might appreciate it."
All three kids yelled and headed towards the living room. Mina was stopped by Puck
who was smiling" Thanks for giving the kids something to remember. I always have a
hard time telling them about my past. I guess I'm afraid they'll lose my respect if
they knew how crazy I was back then.
Mina laughed"Puck please those kids love you so much I think if they were told you
were a goat they'd still respect you."
Puck just smiled and followed Mina into the living room where the boys were playing
Resident Evil and Luna was cheering them on."

Mina sat down on her couch and let out a long sigh after Puck and the kids left. 
Then she lightly glided her hand over her stomach._What am I going to do? I'm a man
not a woman_she looked into the mirror to her right_Well maybe I AM a woman
physically but mentally I'm a man...I'm sorry kid I'm not going to be much of a good
parent to you. I can see it now..you are going to need therapy_
	Mina made her voice sound like alittle child's_You see doctor, my mom  is really my
dad but he got turned into a woman first_The he imitated a older man's voice_Nurse,
get the straight jacket..we got a live one here._
	Mina laughed to herself then screamed as the phone rang_Damn, that scared me. Why I
let puck talk me into using it I will never know_ She picked up the phone and spoke
in Nimh's voice_Yello? Nimh here_
	_Nimh! oh good you're home._
	_Hi Evan, what's up?_
	_There is a BIG protest in California and Chris and I are going. Please come with
us. It's what we've been waiting for; a reason to leave here and go somewhere we can
make a difference._
	_Whoa whoa wait a minute. You're just going to pick up and go?_ said Nimh.
	_Well yeah, we're already at the airport. Chris and I are taking the next flight
out._
	"They're crazy," Nimh thought._What about your job?_
	_Who cares? I wasn't getting anywhere. I can start fresh with Chris.._he
whispered_in every way._
	Nimh laughed to himself, "yes I know" 
	Chris took the phone from Evan_Hi Nimh this is Chris. Are you going to come with
us?_
	Nimh sighed_Alas, my dear girl I cannot. There are some very important things I
need to take care of here._
	_Like what?_
	Mina touched her stomach again_Things. I'm sorry I can't go..but you two go and
make the world a better place._
	Chris laughed_Ok Nimh..I'm sorry you aren't coming. But you're damn right we'll
change the world for the better._
	_I don't doubt that._
	Chris took the phone back_Are you sure you won't come we'd be glad to have you. The
three of us together living in California..land of sun, fun and bikini
babes..ouch!_
	_What happened?_

	Nimh heard the muffled sound of a female's voice in the phone._Well that's our

	Mina hung up the phone and looked at her watch._Kiddo, in roughly 2 hours you're
going to see your momma do her thing...but first we have to get supplies._
Mina got up and walked over to the wall full of pictures_Hmm Chris and Evan's
wedding picture will look great right there_she pointed to a space in"between Elvis
Presley and Priscilla Presley and another couple. Then she turned and opened the
glass case that held the golden bow and "love" arrows; talking to the unborn child
as she prepared.
	_I knew they were perfect for each other the minute I met them._she plucked the
string_This is going to be weird. I feel strange being Cupid as a male now as a
female..augh..no offense or anything. But now I'll look like a angel with my wings
than a fairy._
	She walked over to the mirror and surrendered herself in light. When the light died
Mina was wearing a white tunic with matching knee"high boots. The outfit was lined
with blue strips that matched her hair. Gold bracelets covered the wrists and her
blue hair was pulled up into a fancy bun. The feathered wings extended to their full
wingspan to stretch.  Then, with a sad face, Mina looked at herself. She held the
golden bow in her left and an red heart"tipped arrow in her right._Kid, I hope you
don't inherit these wings. They are a pain, especially during molting season._
	_O.k. now we wait. I want to hit them while there still on the plane.  That way
there are in close quarters and can't run away from their feelings. But first let's
call your aunt Abby._
	Mina mover closer to her mirror, placing her bow and arrow to the side, and touched
the surface of the glass imagining the phone in Abby's room.

	Abby was cleaning up Puck and her room when the phone rang._Hello Avalon
residence._
	_Abby it's Nimh..er Mina I should say._
	Abby smiled and sat on the edge of the bed_So, how are you doing?_
	_I'm ok. I feel alittle sick but other than that fine._
	Abby laughed_Oh be prepared for that and have lots of crackers around. I had
morning sickness for almost a month when I was pregnant with the twins_
	_Abby, what am I going to do? I can't have this child but I also can't destroy
it._
	Abby sighed_I can't tell you what to do There is always adoption?_
	_Abby, dear, if this kid inherits my wings..that's a big no"no. Anyway, I don't
know if I'd like the idea of something that is apart of me out their in a world
without me. Without it's own blood to love it._
	_True. Well in nine months....._
	_Thirteen_MIna corrected her.
	_What?_
	MIna sighed_Us Fey carry our children for thirteen months._
	_Oh. Puck never told me that._
	_There really was no reason too.  Speaking of Puck, when does he get back from his
trip?_ MIna said desperately.
	_Ummm, in two hours. Are you sure it's wise to tell him?_
	_Yes!_MIna yelled_He got me into this mess..if he had just left that belt alone I
wouldn't.._
	Abby could hear MIna starting to whimper._I'll tell him about it when he gets
back_
	_No, I want to tell him._
	_Ok._
	_Along with the others. I want them all to know..you know just to get baby"sitters
ready to go_
	The two shared a good laugh.  For the next two hours they chatted about names for
the baby and how MIna could hide the pregnancy as long as possible not to arouse
people's suspicion.  
	_Well are you going to turn back into Nimh as soon as you give birth..or are you
going to stay a woman for breast feeding and other things like that?_
	_No, As soon as this baby comes out my body will go back to normal..and Abby..I AM
NIMH! Please, that really bothers me. Mina will be my name for now.that's all. The
magic that keeps me a female is very weak. If it could it would make me male in a
heartbeat but this child keeps me female._
	Abby was silent for a moment then spoke_What would happen if something made the
magic able to turn you back to a male...what would happen to the child?_
	_The child would disappear as if it was never created. But you are forgetting Abby,
this child is half"human. Humans do have the will to survive so the magic is dulled
by this child's will._
	Abby smiled_ Thank Avalon, for small favors_
	MIna let out a weak laugh_Yeah I guess so._She looked at the clock _By Avalon!_
	_What?_ Abby asked worried.
	_I have to go to work..I'm late too_
	_Work? Where do you work?_
	_No, Abby "work"_ she plucked the bowstring so Abby could hear it.
	_Oh I see. Ok, well if you need anything don't hesitate to call._
	_I won't and Abby.._
	_Yeah?_
	_Thanks for everything, bye._The phone clicked.
	Abby looked at the phone and smiled_Your welcome, Mina._

	MIna scurried and grabbed the bow and arrows_I can't believe I lost all track of
time. Ok Evan and Chris should be just above Kansas by now_She looked down at her
stomach_Time to go over the rainbow_ 
	In a flash of light, MIna found herself flying next to the plane. Her wings flapped
and didn't seem to react to the jet stream of the plane. MIna had also made herself
invisible so not to scare the humans. She got closer and she saw Chris' face look
out of one of the windows in the back of the plane_Bingo_
	MIna flew right to the window and magically glued her feet to the side so that she
could look right into the plane. Evan was looking at Chris then back to his book.
While Chris looked out the window and gazed into the clouds.
	MIna shook her head_So close yet so far_shrugging she took out the bow and arrows
from the bag on her back_Oh well, that's why I'm here_
	She pulled the arrow back and raised it up to her eye to aim. When it was centered
at both Chris and Evan's hearts she chanted:	Cupid's arrow of love,
		Join these two as one,
		Shower them with your light,
		And give them the right..
		To know happiness and everlasting love.

With the last syllable, MIna let the arrow go and it flew through the plane and
straight yet harmlessly into Chris' heart. She put her hand to her heart as the
arrow flew out of Chris and into Evan's own heart. The two sat there for a minute
taking deep breathes; with their hands over their hearts.  Then just as the Cupid
planned Chris and Evan looked at each other and smiled. Evan leaned forward and
gently rubbed his cheek against Chris' and she took his hand in hers. Mina smiled
then looked worried_Hey...where did that arrow go?_
	She climbed up and over the side of the plane and looked into the window directly
opposite of Chris'. A very beautiful woman in her mid"30s, who was wearing a blue
business suit with blond hair and green eyes, was making kissing gestures and giving
winks to a tall man in his early 40s, who also was wearing a business suit but had
little brown hair on the top of his head, but nice brown eyes. MIna could see that
the arrow, after going through Evan, went into the next aisle hit the woman then
bounced off her heart and went into the heart of this gentleman._There it is._ And
there the arrow was stuck in the back of the man's chair. 
	_That's just great..uh"oh_MIna looked at the "accident" couple, then let out a
sigh_oh good, neither has a wedding ring. But still they don't make a good couple._
She beckoned the arrow with her finger and it flew through the window and into her
hand. She placed it back into her bag and looked in the window again. Tapping the
window she chant:
		Wrongful couple that was made,
		Your love and lust will fade,
		I undo the spell the arrow has cast
		Return to your normal lives and 		fast!

The woman shook her head and looked at the man in disgust, turning her head away.
The man, equally as disgusted, picked up his paper and began to read. MIna laughed
at their reaction then he glanced past them to see Evan and Chris kissing._Well kid,
my work here is done.  With luck we won't get an invitation to their wedding for at
least a year, right?_
She looked at over the sky and then in a green flash appeared in a hallway nearest
to the library in the Erie building_Ok, kiddo now we get to tell everyone that you
are coming_
Mina paced back and forth in the hallway waiting for Abby.  She looked at her
watch..7:00PM      "Where is she? I can't believe I'm doing this"she stopped pacing
a thought outloud "Why am I so nervous? I have NEVER been like this."She looks at
her hands and she saw the delicate hands of a female. She clenched her hands
together and sighed"it must be the hormones Abby told me about" She leaned on the
wall, crossing her arms, and waited quietly for Abby.

In the library..........

"Luna don't throw things at your brother," said Puck.
"But dad.."
"No but's Luna..I don't care what he did..don't throw" This time Puck's eyes began
to glow green at the corners.  Luna saw this and decided that it wasn't worth
getting her dad that mad.  So, with her head down she walked over to Robin, who was
sitting on the floor rubbing his head with one hand and holding the Barbie doll that
hit him in the other, and said "Sorry Rob"
"It's ok...I think...who are you?" A puckish grin spread over his lips.  Puck put
his hand over his mouth to keep from laughing.  Luna just rolled her eyes and smiled
back "Maybe this will jog your memory" With that Luna tackled her brother in a full
out tickling fight.
Puck ran over, now laughing, and pulled Luna away. He wrapped his arms around
her"Where did I go wrong with you two? You both used to be so innocent and sweet" he
quickly turned Luna around and gently shook her "Now look at you"
Luna was laughing and hugged Puck "It must be in the water"
Puck nodded "That's for sure."
Robin got up and sat on one of the couches near the fireplace where Abby had stopped
reading her book to watch them. 
"Oh my god! "Abby jumped, after looking at her watch, making everyone else jump
too.
Puck looked at Abby"You ok?"
"Umm..no. I'll be right back" She handed the book to Robin and dashed out the room.
Luna and Puck cocked an eyebrow at each other. Puck turned his head and saw Robin
reading his mother's book"And then Fazio laid the beautiful Carol on satin sheets
slowly ki....."
Puck grabbed the book"Sorry bud.  You aren't old enough for that yet"
Robin made a sour face and crossed his arms "I'm always too young"
Puck nodded with a smile.  Luna sat on the couch and picked up a pillow.
Robin saw Luna "Don't you dare"
Luna socked him with a pillow. Robin grabbed the pillow and hit back.
"whoa...Whoa!..WHOA!" yelled Puck, causing the twins to stop in mid"hit.
"You two aren't having a pillow fight without me" Puck grabbed a pillow and joined
his children.

Abby ran down the hallway to Mina.  When she got there she was out of breath "Damn
this place is too big"
Mina smiled"I noticed. So, is he ready?"
Abby shook her head" No, well...Puck and the twins are there and I told dad, Fox and
Alex to be there at 7:30."She took deep breaths.
"What about the gargoyles?"
Abby nodded"Angela, Broadway, Goliath, and Hudson will be there. Brooklyn and Zoe
are patrolling and Lex spent the day at Tribeca's and mostly likely the night"
"Man, you really have tags on everyone"
"That I do. Are you ok?"
"Yeah why?" Abby took Mina's hands"You are sweating like crazy"
"Oh that"Mina pulled her hands away and wiped them on her slacks"Just nervous. I
don't know what to do? I've never felt so happy and alone at the same time"
Abby hugged Mina"Don't worry. I'm here for you.  And when Puck hears I bet he'll be
the same"
Mina snorted "Before or after he laughs at me"
"Probably after"
Mina let out a sigh "Well we better go..time to meet the firing squad"
Abby snickered "Ok" 

David walked into the library with Fox and Alex trailing in behind them engrossed
with his GameBoy.
Puck saw them come in and quickly straightening up the room and all three sat on the
couch and smiled innocently.
"What brings you here Mr. and Mrs. X" said Luna.
David sat in a chair and Fox and Alex followed.
"Well Ms. Luna, your mother asked us to be here at 7:30 because she had an
announcement to make."
Puck looked at Xanatos with puzzled face"What kind of announcement?"
David shrugged "All she said was that it was important. I thought you'd be able to
shed some light on the subject"
Puck thought and a smile tugged at his lips"Maybe she's pregnant again?"
David smiled"That's what I think"
Puck was now smiling big. Luna tugged at his shirt "You mean mom may be having
another kid? You mean I could be stuck with another brother!"
"or sister!" said Robin just realizing what was going on.

Goliath, Hudson, and Angela walked into the library to hear everyone cheering and
Puck flying around the room.
"What is going on here?"asked Hudson.
Luna walked up to the gargoyles "We think my mom may have another baby"
Goliath and Angela smiled. 
"That must be why Puck is flying around the room"said Broadway, who entered holding
a tray of cookies and milk.
Luna nodded "Yep"
"COOKIES!" yelled Alex and Robin, making a mad dash towards Broadway.
"Here, here..take it!" Broadway gave the tray to the boys who took it to a table,
eating all the way.
"Jeesh and I thought I was bad" said Broadway."So, what's this I hear about Abby?"
Everyone started talking at once.  

Abby peeked into the room"OK, everyone's there"
Mina nodded giving Abby a weak yet worried smile" I'm ready.
Abby nodded"I'll go in first and get them ready then I'll have you come out and tell
them."
"Sounds like a plan. Let's go before I change my mind."
Abby smiled and went into the library.

The room fell silent."What?" said Abby.
Puck flew right next to Abby"Your dad said that you had a special announcement."
Abby nodded" Ummm..yeah I do." She looked at the others who were crowded around the
couch  nearest to her.
"Well out with it lass..are ye with child or not?"Hudson said out of suspense.
Abby pointed to herself "Me? oh" she covered her mouth and looked at Puck. She
rubbed her hand gently on Puck's cheek "I'm sorry sweetheart"
"Sorry?"
"I'm not the one who's pregnant" She saw Puck's smile fade and his eyes get misty
" Oh, well then who is?"
Abby stepped back and pulled Mina out from the hallway.
Puck shook his head "Wait, who that? No, it can't be"
Mina approached the group "Puck, it's me Nimh..I had alittle bit to much fun after
you all left after the dinner.  And Puck..."
"What?"
"That birth control spell only works on human females"
Puck swallowed hard and looked at Mina; his brother "You're pregnant?"
Mina nodded.
Everyone was jaw"dropped. Robin looked at Mina" Wait, does that make you Aunt Nimh
now?"
"No, I'm calling myself Mina and I'll change back as soon as the baby is born"
Luna looked at Mina and then at Puck "Dad, you ok?"
"Fine" 
Abby could see Puck's eyes still alittle misty "Shit, he's really upset that it's
not me" She thought.
Puck took a deep breath and sat on the couch. Goliath looked at Mina "What are you
planning to do?"
Mina walked over and sat on one of the automans "Well, I am going to keep it.  And
Abby told me that she'd help me"
Fox nodded and took Mina's hand "I will too"
"Thanks Fox. After that,  I'm not sure..I never thought I'd be a daddy let alone a
mother too"
Puck scratched his head looking at Mina "Where are you going to raise the baby? Here
or Avalon?"
Mina shrugged "I'd like to bring the baby up here. I want it to know you all
especially you Puck; my brother and my partner in crime." To that Puck smiled. "But
we'll see if Oberon will let me"
Angela spoke up "But why wouldn't he? He allowed Fox to live here and even Alex;
after some persuasion of course"
Goliath looked at Angela and gave her a you"can"saw"that"again look.
Puck shook his head "It's alittle different here. Titania was involved this is not
Titania. This is one of the children who even though has the ability to come and go
from Avalon as he..she..whatever pleases...."
"I am still bound by Oberon's will.  I'd really only have to answer only to
Shelia..but she's not here."said Mina.
Hudson said "Come now. We are sitting her all glum when we sure be celebrating. We
have time before the wee babe comes..so right now let us just be happy it's on it's
way"
Broadway lifted up a class of milk" Here, here"
Alex was talking to Robin" So, if the baby will be our cousin and you are my nephew
then this baby will be nephew or niece, right?"
Robin thought about it" Yeah, I think so. You got that new game yet?"
"Which one?"
"Zombie Run"
Alex snapped his fingers"Oh yeah I did. Let's go" Alex and Robin dashed out the
room. Luna, picked up a few cookies and with one already in her mouth followed the
boys.
Fox was about to call to them but David put a hand on her shoulder" Let them go. I
think we should go too. Puck needs to talk to Mina and Abby. Fox nodded.
"Congratulations Nimh. I hope your child is everything you hope it to be" Xanatos
said.
"And if you need anything just call.  I'll be going to my father's place for a week
so I'll make sure you have the number before I go"
Mina nodded and smiled "Thank you."
Broadway and Angela were cleaning up when Lex, Zoe, and Brook came in laughing. They
all stopped when they saw all the long faces.
"What happened? Did someone die? "said Zoe. Angela put an empty glass in Zoe's hand
and turned her around "Let's go to the kitchen and I'll tell you everything"
Broadway nodded to his rookery brothers to do the same.
Goliath and Hudson nodded to the three and walked out.

Abby looked around the library, it was only Puck, Mina, and herself.  Their silence
was broken when Puck started to laugh non"stop.  Mina and Abby just watched him.  It
got tot he point where Puck was crying he was laughing so hard. Finally, holding his
side, he spoke in"between breaths"You"gasps"are pregnant! The all mighty womanizing
master is pregnant!_
"Thanks Puck for your support." said Mina crossing her arms.
Abby sat on the automan with Mina and looked at Puck, "Puck, sweetie you have to
breath"
Puck took one big breath and sat on the floor in front of the two women. "I really
thought it was you Abby...but nope..it was my BROTHER." Puck laughed but it was more
of a sad laugh than before.
Mina put her hand on Puck's shoulder. "I'm sorry Puck, if I could I'd trade with
Abby. I know how much you wanted another kid"
Puck looked into Nimh's eyes, "Do you?"
Mina looked hurt, "Yes Puck, I do. I have seen the way you look at your children,
even Alex, and there is so much love. I can remember on Avalon that whenever there
was a new baby you were the first one to volunteer to take care of it."
Puck's head was downcast as he listened, "I guess you do"
Abby reached out to Puck and he took her hand pulling himself nearer, resting his
head on her lap facing Mina.
Mina sighed, "I have always wondered what that kind of love felt like. Now I have
the chance. I don't want this baby just because I am lonely..I want it because it's
mine.  It will be something more tangible then pictures on a wall.  It will love me.
I'm ready to become a parent," she placed her hand on her stomach, "I just hope that
the baby will understand"
Abby grinned, "It will"
Puck took Mina's hand and squeezed it, "I'm sorry. If I hadn't put the belt on you
this would have never happened"
"Don't be. I see this as destiny. A Fay cannot get pregnant unless it wants. I must
have wanted it. I should thank you Puck, because if you hadn't I may never have
gotten this chance."
Puck smiled, "True..but what about the father?"
"What about him?" said Mina coldly.
"Don't you think you should tell him that he is going to become a parent too?" asked
Abby
"Oh and what should I tell him Abby? Oh hi, remember me..the girl you slept with
almost three weeks ago...Well, guess what? I'm pregnant.  Oh and when the baby is
born I'll turn back into my true "male" self."
Abby winced, "Oh I see."
Puck started to laugh again at Mina's answer, "Hey it could be worse?"
Abby looked at Puck, "How?"
Puck lifted his head and looked at the two, "Jerry Springer could have heard about
this and we'd be on the show."
Mina chuckled and Abby put her fists on her hips, "Over my dead body!"
The three shared a good laugh.

The next morning, Alex sat in his third grade classroom in the private school near
the castle.  Ever since he was kidnapped as a baby; which he barely remembers, his
parents didn't want  to take any chances.  Alex hated that. He wasn't a baby anymore
and Puck had taught him enough magic that he could get out of a bad situation.  His
blue"catholic" school uniform collar and tie itched like crazy.  He could remember
when Fox and Abby made all three of them prance around in a show for everyone.  Luna
was delighted and fooled around turning circles in her plaid blue shirt and white
blouse with a blue plaid collar.  She even pointed her feet to everyone so they
could see her white knee-high socks and blue loafers.  Puck laughed as she jumped in
his lap and clapped with everyone else.  Robin and Alex, with sour faces,  had
matching blue dockers with a white blouse and blue ties.  Luna clapped the loudest,
whistling with Lex, at the boys.  Alex just sighed and waited for it all to be over.
 Now sitting in his classroom, he wished to turn himself into a bird and fly away. 
As he scratched his neck he stared out the window.  He was completely content on
watching the city until something hit his desk fast and hard. Shocked, he looked up
to see his teacher, Mrs. Cranal, looking at him.
" What is so fascinating outside, Mr. Xanatos that you ignore my lessons?
ALex thought quickly "Umm my collar itched..so I itched it..that's all. I'm sorry."
The teacher blinked and turned back to the class, picking up where she left off.
Alex let out a sigh. That was close. Alex heard a giggle and turned to see Kally
Chen giggling at him.  
Her straight black hair that just touched her shoulders bounced with her giggle. 
Alex wondered why he had never noticed how "pretty" her dark Asian eyes were
compared to the other girls.  He felt strange looking and turned back to  the
teacher.  
At recess, Alex watched Kally and a group of her friends giggle as he walked by
them. 
 "What are they talking about?" he wondered and decided to find out.  He sat on the
swing 
and closed his eyes. "Concentrate just like Puck said" When Alex opened his eyes he

glanced once at the girls then pretended to look elsewhere.  
" So, Kally why were you giggling in class today?"
"It worked!" thought Alex with a smile.  All he had to do now was to swing and
relax.

Kally blushed " Come on, Julie. You know why"
Julie shook her head of blonde curls " ohh boy..she's in trouble"
The group of girls giggled again.
Kally said " So, I like him..it's not like I'm going to marry him. His eyes are so
beautiful. 
I have never seen eyes that green before. I just want him to know I exist..to be his
friend. 
That's it Julie. A friend."
A chubby girl with black braids nodded "Does he have any? I see him play with the
other 
boys sometimes but he seems to be a loner."
Kally dared a glance at Alex.  She saw him swinging but with a face so serious and
sad.

" I'm a loner" thought Alex " I don't think I am.  I have many friends, but they
aren't human.  
Alex could feel tears when something..or someone jumped on the swing giving him a
huge hug. 
"Alex!" said a cheerful Luna.
Alex smiled " HI Luna. You know the next time you want to say hi "he wrapped his
arms 
around her waist while she held onto the chain and they began to swing " just say
so.
Luna giggled " Where's the fun in that?"
" You are too much like your father. And just think..we thought you were going to be
the shy one."
" I know" Luna said giving her uncle a toothy grin."What are you doing?"
Alex motioned his head towards the group"Listening"
Luna looked at the group then smilied at Alex"Ohhh..that one with the black hair
right?"
"Luna, please don't read my mind. I don't do it to you, do I? "
"No"
"But,yeah. She giggled at me and blushes when she hears my name."
Luna's face went serious and Alex could feel her looking at Kally's aura. "Luna, I
already did that"
"I know I just wanted to look for myself. She is trustworthy and good. I think if
you became friends 
she would keep the secret."
Alex nodded "And if not we could erase her memory"
Luna giggled " If we shadows have offended think of this and all is mended that you
have just slumm"
Alex covered her mouth. "Luna, I would like to remember this recess."
"Oh yeah..sorry" Luna laughed. "Let's play"

Kally looked hurt "Who's that?"
Julie looked and waved her hand " Who, her? Oh, that's Luna Avalon."
Kally gave Julie a look that said "and that means what to me." Julie sighed in
frustration "It's his niece.  He has a nephew too. Robin I think. They always play
when they are out here. Weird huh?"
" Weird?" repeated Kally.
Julie nodded " Well, yeah. Just look at her hair.  It's so white. Someone told me
that her ears are deformed too..they have a point. It suits Alex well.  He is weird
too so his family has to be.  My father says that Alex's father is so rich that he
could rule the country if he wanted.  And his mother has a tattoo on her eye. Her
eye! That's weird."
Kally just shrugged, crossing her arms.

Luna and Alex jumped off the swing in mid"swing.  They laughed at each other as they
landed on the sand below.  Luna knelt down as best she could in her uniform shirt to
make castles with the sand. 
"Where's Rob?" asked Alex.
Luna looked up and scanned the playyard " I don't know. He had to go to the
bathroom, but he said he would be right out" 
Alex could see Luna thinking as was he.  Rob should have been out by now.  He looked
at 
Luna who stared back *Is he is trouble Luna?*
*No, he would yell to us if he was. Unless, he's unconscious* Luna looked worried.
* Lets go* Alex took Luna's hand and they walked back into the school.
Only Kally noticed the two go into the school. She turned to them "Hey guys, I'm
going to the bathroom. I'll see ya back in the classroom" The group nodded and said
goodbye.  

Kally ran to catch up with Luna and Alex.  Learning from the movies, she hide behind
every corner so they wouldn't see her. Luna smiled *The girl is following us Alex?
She knows you.*
Alex turned his head just in time to see Kally's black eye disappear behind the
wall. *Her
 "name" is Kally. *
*She's pretty..especially those Asian eyes of hers*
Alex stopped and looked at Luna. He gave her a mind push *Don't read my mind! I hate
it 
when you do that.* Alex let Luna's hand go and walked away leaving her in the hall.

"I'm sorry Alex." Luna said sadness " I was only trying to be funny"
Alex let a long breath out "Ok" He motioned his hand for her to come to him.
Luna smiled and skipped to Alex, taking his hand as they continued down the hall.
Kally was stunned. All she saw was Alex get mad for no reason and his niece
apologize 
for whatever she did.  Maybe the family was just weird.

Alex stopped after they turned the corner. * Luna go on. I want to confront her.*
Luna nodded * Ok, I feel Rob. He's in the library. I'll go to him and see what's
wrong.*
Alex nodded. Luna walked onto the library.
Alex crossed his arms and leaned against the wall.  Kally turned the corner and came

face"to"face with Alex's green eyes. She yelped "Alex..you scared me"
"Why are you following me, Kally?"
"You know my name...well I was curious. I..um..well" She began to wring her hands 
nervously with her head down as to avoid eye contact.
Alex unfolded his arms and grinned "Kally?"
"Yeah?" She said without looking up.
"What are you trying to say?"
"Umm, well...I just wanted to talk to you and just..umm
"Would you like to hang out with me..and my family of course?"
Kally looked up "Sure..if you don't mind?"
"Nah..the more the merrier. I saw you giggling at me today"
Kally looked scared"I didn't mean anything by it. I was just thrilled that you
thought 
so quickly. Sometimes I wish I were that seagull you saw and just fly away"
Alex smiled" Me too. What else do you like to do?"
The two started down the hallway towards that library discovering their likes and 
dislikes, as all friends do.

Luna walked into the large library to see Rob in the corner curled into a ball on
one 
of the couches reading a book.  She put her hands to her hips and mind pushed him 
*You idiot. You had Alex and I worried*
Rob looked up, stunned by the push, and shook his head *Sorry. I got into this
book..it's about us."
Luna walked up to her brother and sat next to him *Wha?*
Rob sat up and placed the old book over their laps *Look? The book is called
"Legends of 
the Fey." One story is about daddy.  It says that he was destine to betray Oberon
and that 
is why he was the Lord's servant.  So, Oberon could watch Puck closely. Only the
birth of a changeling of royal Fey descent will move the Puck to act..*
*Alex* Luna said.
*Yep, there's more. It says that once Puck betrayed Oberon Avalon will protect him. 

The Puck will find a human to love......"
*Mommy*
* And with this love, they would produce many children, who will one day improve the

Earth with their magic.  The first two, being twins.. * Luna closed the book. *Why
did you do that?!*
* Rob, it scares me. It has everything. Someone who knew daddy wrote this book..I
can feel it*
Robin smiled *Me too..that's what is so exciting.* He opened the book again. *It
says 
that the twins, us, are the Puck's strength.  Without us, he is powerless.  It also
says 
that there will be another baby.*
*Girl or boy?*
*Doesn't say..just that the baby will be the answer to a secret kept by the Puck.*
*Secret? Daddy doesn't have any secrets.*
Rob shrugged *Maybe he does. He has lived alot longer than us. Longer than anyone 
we know..well except grandma Titania and grandpa Oberon.*
*True. What else?*
Rob looked down the page and stopped * No, a woman will conceive the baby 
but birthed by a man....Nimh?*
* Nimh's baby will have no mother once it is born. But what of that child?*
Rob's face went sad *The baby will be different from most halflings because it will
look 
more Fey. It will cause problems......*
Luna looked at her brother *Well!? Is there more?!*
*Yes, but look*
Luna looked and the page was changing.  What once were English letters were now 
characters that neither understood.  All they could do is look at each other.
"Rob? What just happened?"
Rob shrugged and closed the book.  He examined the cover to find that there was no 
library code on it. He stuffed it into his bag and grabbed Luna's arm.  As they ran
out, 
they bumped into Alex and Kally.
"Rob, Luna, why are you running?" asked Alex.
Luna was the first to compose herself. "Oh no reason but to run, uncle Alex"
Robin nodded in agreement.  Alex smiled and turned to Kally "Kally, meet my niece 
Luna and my nephew Robin. You two meet Kally."
The twins nodded and Kally smiled "Nice to met you two."
Luna and Rob gave her a smile. Rob shifted his weight. *This book is so heavy*
thought Robin.
Luna took Kally hand in hers "Would you like to come over and play after school?"
Kally blinked and looked at Alex "Well, umm sure. If it's all right with my mom"
Rob took Kally's arm "Let's go find out."
Alex smiled "I'll go see if it's ok with MY mom first"
Luna and Rob nodded and lead Kally towards the payphone. Alex snuck into the library

and hide behind the back shelves. *Please let someone be home* he thought as he sent
a mind call to Fox.

At the castle......

Abby and Fox were turning Angela's egg in a room designated as the rookery.  
It was in the lower part of the castle.  The dampness and coolness was perfect 
according to Hudson. Fox was standing up when Alex's call found her. *Mom, it's
Alex, please answer me.*
Fox answered, *Alex, what's wrong?*
She felt Alex smile, *Hey, mom those lessons with Nimh are paying off. I can hear 
you clearly. No, nothing is wrong. But, I was wondering if I can have a friend over

after school. It's Friday and my room is clean*
Fox was shocked. This was the first time Alex had ever asked to invite someone 
over. She turned to Abby , who was placing mosses around the egg, "Abby, Alex 
wants to know if he can have a friend over after school?"
Abby was just as shocked. "Say, yes. Alex needs "normal" friends..well that came 
out wrong. But you know what I mean."
Fox nodded. Alex has never shown interest in other kids. He seemed very happy 
with his relatives and gargoyles. Maybe things were changing. *Sure Alex. Do you 
want me to have Owen pick you up?*
*Yes mom, thanks*
*No Problem, Alex. See you later.* She sent him a mind kiss.
Fox smiled "Abby, let us prepare for dinner."
Abby nodded."Hey Fox..next time you give him a mind kiss, focus alittle more. You
know 
I love ya but I think David and Puck would get jealous."
Fox winced"Sorry. Mina just taught it to me and I wanted to try it out."
"How is it going...the lessons I mean?"
They walked into the kitchen and started taking out bowls and food. "Good. It feels
weird.
 The more I learn the more, what's the word..alive I feel.  Mina says that I'm at
the level that 
Alex was when he was five."
"Is that good or bad?"asked Abby as she cut apples into quarters.
"It's great, especially since I didn't even know I had them. Yet, I feel like I'm
back in high 
school. She even gives me pop quizzes."
Abby chuckled"I'm sorry."
Fox waved her hand and got the bread out for sandwiches"Don't worry. I just need to

keep on my toes. Hopefully, I'll know enough to take care of Alex before Alex goes
to 
college. I hate being useless...like I did the day Alex was born"
Abby knew the story, Puck had told her, and she said as she placed her hand over 
Fox's"You aren't useless. Far from it. Alex is here so you won. Let's think  happy
thoughts 
and get ready to met Alex's friend."
Fox gave her a half"smiled and nodded"Yes, let's. I know how Alex feels, the twins 
too. even though I didn't know about my powers, I always felt alone, distant from
other kids."
Abby finished cutting the fruit and was wiping her hands,"Really? How?"
Fox nodded,"I always was able to do things that the other kids couldn't. For
example, I was great at gymnastic,"she snickered"my mother even said that it was
like I was weightless. But the big problems came from my anger. When I was ten, I
got so angry that the person I just stared at them. Hard. All of a sudden the child
screamed in pain and held his head. Later, he was fine but when I told my mother she
told me it was my gift, but when I tried to do it again I couldn't. So, my mother
thought that it was a fluke..that the kid had migraines."
"Whoa, that's...I don't even know how to respond. Just that..you have them now and
you 
are learning. I'll be right back..I want to get something from my room"
"Ok"said Fox 

Alex ran to where Kally and the twins were calling. Alex reached them as Kally was 
getting off the phone.
"I can come over. But I have to be home by 9." Kally said.
Alex nodded "No prob, my mom said it was fine too. " He looked at Rob and 
Luna "Owen is going to pick us up."
Luna clapped and Rob smiled big. The bell rang and the children started piling in
from recess.
Kally said, "We better get back."
Luna and Rob were already running down the hall to their classroom. Kally laughed
"They are so funny."
Alex laughed too "Yeah, they take after their father. Shall we?"
Kally and Alex walked down to their classroom.

Abby walked into her room and straight into the bathroom to wash her hands.  
Between that moss which smelled so bad it could peel the paint off a car and the
fruit, 
her hands needed a better wash.  When she emerged, Owen had walked in and was
rummaging 
through one of the drawers. 
"Hey, Owen" she walked up to him.
"Hey back" he leaned down and kissed her, then turned back to searching.
"What are you looking for?" she asked looking into the drawer.
Owen said without looking up, " A pin. Titania gave it to me as a present. It keeps
you 
cool in this hot weather."
"Oh, hey, could you pick up the kids after school?"
"Yes, I could. Any special reason?"
Abby smiled "Alex is having a friend over."
Owen stopped and looked at Abby. "You're kidding"
"Nope. Don't worry, Fox and I hide everything that could be traced to the gargoyles
or magic."
Owen, going back to looking, found the pin and tucked into his inner jacket
pocket."I see.
 Well, I'll be on the look out for anything out of the ordinary."
" You make that sound so easy." Abby said.
With that Owen smiled. "It takes many years of practice."

Alex watched the clock like a hawk after recess.  He glanced at Kally a few times
and 
she seemed to be watching the clock too.  When the bell rang, Alex and Kally danced
for their lockers.  
Luna met Robin at his locker. "What's wrong?" asked Luna.
*This book.  I can feel it using magic.*
Luna nodded, *We have to tell daddy*
Robin finished packing and shut his locker, "I know. Let's go find Alex."
Owen was waiting for the kids outside, leaning against the limo.  Kally's jaw nearly

dropped to the floor when she saw it. "Is that yours?"
Alex smiled "Yep."
Luna went running towards the driver "Owen!"  Owen grabbed her and picked her up,
 smiling big.  Robin walked and hugged Owen.  Luna opened the passenger's seat  
and crawled in, as did Rob.  Owen looked at them suspiciously *What are they up 
too?* he thought but didn't have time to ask.  He turned to Alex "Master Alex.
Miss." he opened the door.
"Owen, this is Kally Chen." said Alex, placing his hand on her shoulder.
Owen nodded his head in greetings. Kally did the same and got into the car. 
Alex saw Owen grin. Alex got in and saw that Kally was dumbfounded by all the 
stuff in the limo.  Owen closed the door and got into the driver's seat.  He looked
and 
the twins to see that they weren't happy.  Robin turned to face Alex and Kally "Um,

you guys should have some privacy to talk. So, I'll close the window. He pushed a 
button and the window closed; dividing Alex and Kally from the front. Rob then 
turned to Owen "Dad, Luna and I found something that is very strange."
Owen didn't like the way this was sounding, plus he smelled a strong magic around 
the two. "What is it?" he asked.
Luna opened Rob's bag and pulled out the book" This dad. It used to say "Legends of
the Fey," but when Rob and I were reading it....."
"The letters changed into some characters that we couldn't understand." finished
Robin.
Owen let out a sigh and was happy for the first time in his life for rush hour
traffic. He 
looked at the book and knew exactly what it was. "Where did you find it?"
Rob answered "In the library. I was coming back from the bathroom and I heard it
sing. 
Do you know what it is?"
Owen gave them a half-smile "Yep. It is called the Book of Prophecies.  It has so
much 
magic it writes the visions itself. Oberon lost it about 600 years ago. It sings to
those with 
Fey blood so it can be found.  The book sings to go back home."
"To Avalon?" asked Luna in a tiny voice."
"Yes."
Rob let out a breath and furrowed his brow. "But why did it change letters?"
Owen drove into the garage of the Erie building. "It changes for two reasons: 1. 
protection and 2. loyalty.  If you were reading a part that you should not be, it
will change to protect the prophecy. Or, it realized that you are only half-Fey, so
even though it is loyal to the Fey it got scared that you may not know enough about
your Fey heritage 
to understand. What were you guys reading about anyway?"
"You" answered the twins in unison.
"Me?"
" Yeah" started Rob "It was about your life and all different things." Luna and
Robin finished what they read just as they parked the limo. Owen nodded and said in
a cold voice "The book must have felt that you shouldn't be reading it."
He opened the door and got out. Rob looked at Luna and stuffed the book back into
his pack.
Kally and Alex were chattering away in the back when Owen opened the door. Kally
looked around the garage and laughed "Nice house Alex"
" Ha. Ha. funny. We have to ride the elevator up." The twins were already at the
elevator 
when the others came.  
At the top, Kally met Fox and Abby. She thought how they were both beautiful and 
friendly. Not weird. They ushered everyone into the kitchen were there were snacks
of fruits and juices. Abby tickled Luna " So, sweetie, how many more days?"
Luna stood straight and answered in a robot"like voice "Exactly 6 days, nine hours,
20 
minutes, and 10 seconds."
Kally looked at Rob " What was that?"
Robin joined everyone at the table "It's how many more days until summer vacation. 
We always go up to see grandpa Petros in Maine after school's out."
Alex took a piece of melon and started singing "School's out for summer.."
"School's out for..ever! " joined Luna and Robin. 
Laughter filled the kitchen for the first hour of Kally's visit. After, Alex took
Kally to
 his room where they played with his toys and talked, but Alex did most of the
talking
 because Kally had so many questions.

Owen reverted to Puck when he thought the coast was clear, but in human form. 
He asked the twins for the book. "What book?" asked Abby.
"A special Fey book we found mommy." Luna said sitting on Abby's lap. Fox watched 
Rob pull out the book and hand it to Puck. The book glowed green as Puck touched it.
 
When the light died what had been an old and tattered leather bound book was now a 
new shiny golden bound book with a silver keyhole in the middle. Robin was 
amazed "Dad, why did it do that?"
Puck smiled " It knows it's full kin." He turned the page and found the page that
Robin 
and Luna had found. Fox looked at the pages. They were blurry to her." Puck, how 
can you read that?"
Puck looked up " You three are only half Fey, so the book knows that you should be 
allowed to see it but it's not sure you can read it. To me, it is very clear. Most
of this 
has come true. The story of Alex and me finding Abby, etc. man, I'm glad Oberon lost

this sucker or he might have killed me long ago."
Abby looked at Puck. He was like a child that had a new toy. Luna asked "Dad,
there's 
a part about Nimh in there too."
Puck nodded "Yeah, but most is unwritten. Nimh and I knew that his, her child will
be 
different that's why she has to tell Oberon. it will determine whether the baby will
be 
born here or Avalon." Puck closed the book.  Waving his hands over it, it
disappeared. 
Rob said "Why did you do that?"
Puck ruffled Robin's hair "Because no one should know their future, ill or good. It
takes 
away the joy of living. I hide the book until I can give it to Titania to give back
to Daddy O. Once back in Avalon, the book will be still and only write it's visions
for Avalon's use."
Robin seemed satisfied with his father's answer so he grabbed a piece of apple and
went to 
his room.  Luna stayed with "the adults." Abby looking at Puck, hugged Luna " So,
what
 do you think about this Kally?"
Puck shrugged, tracing pictures with his finger on the table" She's ok. She's nice
to Alex 
and they seem to get along."
Fox smiled "Yes, they do. Poor girl is so afraid to touch anything though. I had to
tell her
 it was alright to have a glass of water."
Luna let out a sigh and leaned against her mother "That's because we're weird."
Puck raised an eyebrow "Come again?"
Luna nodded "Everyone thinks we are weird. I accidentally pulled my hair back in gym
and some people saw my ears. Then at lunch some boys dumped water on Rob and his
ears poked out. So, we are the freaks and Alex is our freaky uncle. They don't 
like us. That is, I thought so until Kally."
Puck was mad "Why didn't you tell me or your mother?"
Luna shrugged "Robin asked me not too. It's ok daddy..."
"No it's not!" yelled Puck. Luna jumped down and walked over to Puck. She took his 
hand "Dad. We're different. We look too Fey to fit in but too human to not. We love

you and mom and wouldn't ask to be anyone else's kids. But, being your kids also
means 
we are alone. No one knows magic and if they knew we did we would be shunned even
more than we are now. Kally is hope that not everyone only sees our outsides but the
love 
we have within." Luna kissed Puck's cheek and left.
Puck looked at Abby "I never knew."he let out a long breath and ran his hands
through 
his hair. Abby got up and hugged Puck. "Luna had told me before but not that
seriously. 
We knew this could happen Puck."
Puck nodded "I know. But, I don't know.  Maybe..maybe"
Fox and Abby looked at him "What?" asked Abby.
"Maybe we should send them to live on Avalon." said Puck with his head low.
"WHAT?! Puck do you know what you're saying. If they go..we'll never..you can 
never see them again"
Puck nodded "I know, but I never meant for them to be unhappy or alone. I.."Puck
just 
stared into Abby's eyes. He could see she was a combination of sad, mortified,
confused, 
and agreement. She hit the table with her fists"You would just let them go?"
Puck stood up "DO you see another way? Sure I could hide the ears with magic but the

kids who have seen them would notice and then they would be shunned again. I want 
my children to be happy. I don't want them to feel alone like I did!"
Fox sat there in silence and prayed that everything would be ok. Abby was shocked. 
She saw no option. She stormed out of the kitchen. Puck sighed and looked at Fox "I
blew that one, didn't I?"
Fox said with a tone of anger in her voice,"Were you serious? I almost lost Alex to
Oberon and I would never think about ever letting him go to Avalon."
Puck shook his head no, "I just don't want them to feel as alone and hated."
Fox got up and placed a hand on Puck's shoulder."Don't tell me...tell Abby
." Fox placed one of the dishes in the sink and left.
Puck walked into his bedroom to see Abby sitting on their windowsill, crying, 
in the dark. "Abby?" Puck said in a low voice.
"Go away, you asshole. I don't even want to look at you."
Puck sat on the sill and looked at Abby"I'm sorry. I was just thinking out loud. 
I didn't mean it. I was just shocked by what Luna said. I never knew it was that 
bad. I just want them to be happy."
Abby finally looked at him with her tear streaked face "And you think I don't. 
Puck when you said to send them away I felt so empty, so alone."
Puck nodded "I know." He took her hand. "Don't you think to even think a thing like
that would kill me. "
Abby nodded and moved closer to hug Puck; to which Puck held her.
"No more talk about that ok. Never."said Puck.
"I agree."Abby sniffled and then let out a giggle.
Puck pulled away and looked at her with a suspicious grin,"What's so funny?"
Abby wiped her eyes and said,"I was just thinking how when the twins were 
babies, we thought Luna would be the quiet one and Robin would be the loud one."
Puck laughed."Boy, were we wrong?"
Abby smiled.

Kally was helping Alex put a puzzle together on Alex's table. "Alex?"
"Yeah, Kally"
"Thanks for showing me a great time."
Alex smiled and looked up from the puzzle "Thanks for coming over. And it was 
nothing. I hope you'll come again."
Kally smiled "Of course."
Alex looked at the clock "It's almost 8:30. Maybe we should find Owen?"
Kally nodded "Yeah. Don't need to make my mom mad. Hey Alex, maybe one day 
you can come over to my apartment and play?"
Alex was shocked "Yeah, I'd love that."
Alex saw Fox pass by the room and asked her if Owen could take Kally home. 
"Alex, you know I can drive too. I'll take her home."
"Thanks Mrs. Xanatos."
"Your welcome Kally. When do you want to leave?"
Kally looked at Alex "Well, I have to be home by 9, so could we go now?"
Fox nodded,"Sure. Let me go tell someone we're going and I'll met you at the
elevator."
No sooner had Fox left but Luna and Robin came running in and tackled Alex, tickling

him until he cried out. Kally laughed at the three. They were normal. Wait until she
told 
Julie that they were great people. Luna looked up and her eyes went wide. She tapped

Alex's arm so Alex would look. When Alex did he saw Lex waving and giggling at them.

Robin quickly jumped up and shut the curtains. Lex was so shocked he nearly fell off
the 
balcony to Alex's room. He peaked through the edge of the curtain to see a human
girl 
laughing with the kids. *A girl? Whoa, I almost blew it. I better come back later
when she's gone.* 
He flew back to the gargoyle's den. Brook looked up" Hey Lex, weren't you going to
say hi to Alex?"
"Yeah, but there's a girl up there."
"Really? Go Alex!" Brook laughed.
Lex put his talons on his hips, "Funny."
"What's funny?" Brook and Lex turned to see Tribeca carrying in a pizza and a bottle
of soda.
Lex smiled "Hey that looks good."
Tribeca nodded and another strand of blonde hair fell from her ponytail "I thought 
so..now what was funny?"
"Oh, Alex had a friend over..a "girl" friend" Lex took the pizza and placed it on a
coffeetable.
"Oh you mean a friend"girl." Lex and Brook just looked at her and she sighed "
that's someone 
who is a friend that is a girl." 
"Oh" said Lex and took a slice. Brook took the bottle from Tribeca and went to get
cups. 
Tribeca looked at Lex "Thanks"
Lex looked confused then said, " Oh thanks for the food."
She smiled and sat Indian"style next to him, giving him a kiss "your welcome,
sweetie."

"Rob, why did you close the blinds?" asked Kally.
Robin turned and looked at the curtains as if they were new. "Oh that. It's just
habit. We 
don't need them open after the sun goes down so..we close them."
Kally nodded "That's logical"
Luna said, "Yep that's us..logical"
Alex laughed "Right. And Mr. Ed was a rabbit"
Fox came in "Ready?"
Alex jumped up and turned to Kally "Yep I am."
"So am I?"she turned to Luna and Rob" It was nice meeting you. And I hope to see you
again."
Luna smiled" Oh you will an...." Rob closed her mouth with his hand and dragged her

out saying,"Bye Kally."
The ride to Kally's home was too quick for Alex. They stopped in front of a
residential 
building about 20 blocks from the castle. It was classy. A doorman opened the back
door 
for Kally to get out. She spoke to Fox, "Thanks for the ride" Fox nodded and
smiled."Alex, 
I'll see you on Monday."
Alex smiled "Yep. And thanks for coming over."
Kally kissed Alex on the cheek" No problem. Bye"
Alex could just make out the word "Bye" before Kally was in her building. Fox looked
at 
Alex and laughed "Alex, get up here. Alex climbed into the front seat as Fox began
to 
drive home. "She's nice"
"Yep. She even said that maybe I could come over sometime." Fox could see the
happiness all over Alex's face. "That's great Alex"

Abby walked into the rookery to see Angela singing to her egg. Abby smiled 
remembering how she did that too when she was expecting. Angela stopped and 
looked to see Abby at the door. "Come in Abby."
Abby approached "Don't stop. I've never heard you sing like that."
Angela blushed. "Thanks. Can I ask you something?"
"Sure"
"Did Puck or Mina come near my egg?" Abby thought about it "Just when it you 
delivered it. Why?"
Hudson and I have been watching it and from what he said and I know about eggs
my egg seems to be 5 years old. And if it continues to grow at this rate..it will
hatch in a month or two."
Abby answered her "Wow. That's great though. A month? But I don't know if Puck had 
anything to do with it"
"I did." Puck walked into the rookery carrying moss and leaves. "Mina and I wanted
to 
make you happy so we sped up the egg."
Angela smiled "Thanks. Broadway wants the baby to hatch so much. So do I. And to 
think that I had to wait another ten years for it to hatch was going to drive me
crazy.But why?"
Puck smiled "Your welcome and because your father has saved my bacon many times.
Plus, without you as our messenger, who knows if Abby and I would have stayed
together This is a thank you. A debt repaid for a gift,"he winked at Abby,"received.
Now if only Mina would do that for herself things could get back to normal."
Abby and Angela  said in unison" Normal?"
Puck nodded his head as he sorted the herbs "yes. Do you know how weird it is to
have a 
brother..a "BRO"ther call you and tell you about his morning sickness, his
bloatness, or how his hormones are driving him crazy."
Abby and Angela giggled until they went into full belly laughs, even the egg
rocked.
"Oh sure, laugh at me, go ahead. I'll remember this."Puck said with a half"smile.
Broadway came into the room with a confused look on his face" What did I miss?"
"Nothing, my love. Come, sit with me." Angela beckoned. Abby got up and took Puck's

arm and grabbed him out of the room. "What was that for?" asked Puck.
"Let them be with the egg. It needs to hear their voices more than us." Puck smiled
and 
walked with Abby down the hallway.

Tribeca, Lex, Brook, Hudson, Elisa, and Goliath were all in the den watching,
Ghostbusters. 
Tribeca had warned the gargoyles that the movie was anti-garg friendly, but they
still wanted to watch.
Abby and Puck walked by the den hand-in-hand, looking in to see the gargoyles. Puck
waved as did Abby but looked at Tribeca sadly before the couple walked to their
rooms. Tribeca turned to Lexington"Why does Abby look at me so sadly? Did I do
something to make her upset?"
Lex shook his head, "Nah, it's just that her mother's name was Tribeca."
"She didn't get along with her?"
"Never knew her. She died during childbirth."
"Oh. How sad" Tribeca leaned against Lex, resting her head on his shoulder. Broadway

and Angela walked in and Brooklyn jumped up. He grabbed the tape and stood in front

of the Television,"OK, everyone, get comfortable,"he stood still and no one moved,"I
SAID everyone get comfortable."
Everyone moved. Lex grabbed a huge pillow. Tribeca took the pillow and placed her
elbows 
on it, laying on her stomach. Lex laid next to her, wrapping his arm around her
waist and kissing her on the cheek. Broadway and Angela sat on the couch. Elisa and
Goliath were also on the couch with Hudson to their right on his chair.  Bronx
waddled in and collapsed in front of Tribeca, who scratched his ear and
giggled,"Wha?"asked Lex.
Tribeca gave him an evil grin."You'll see."
Brooklyn cleared his throat,"Excuse me. Tonight's performance is a classic film
about 
people who chase ghosts and catch them. Okay. And according to Tribeca this is rated
PG-AGF."
"AGF?"asked Goliath.
"Anti-Garg Friendly."Lex, Brook, and Tribeca said in unison. Brook put the tape in
and 
pressed play. Tribeca got up and turned off the lights,"This makes it really
scary."
Zoe walked in with four big bowls of popcorn.
"Oh good. I didn't miss the beginning."
Zoe and Tribeca looked at each other and grinned,"Ray, when someone asks you if
you're a god.."
"Say yes!" Zoe and Tribeca yell.
Brook furrowed his eyebrow ridges as Zoe gave him the first bowl of popcorn; 
which he passed to Goliath, "Hey you two..no previews."Zoe then passed a bowl 
to Tribeca, one to Broadway, then settled down with Brooklyn with the last bowl. 
Brook had taken one of the huge pillows and leaned it against a recliner. Zoe
wrapped 
her wings around herself and smiled at Brook. In return, he kissed her nose and 
wrapped one of his wings around her.
Tribeca looked around at one point to see that the gargoyles were mesmerized by the

movie. She smiled to herself"*Wait until they see the gargoyles*
The movie was going along great until the screen started to climb the outside of the

building. Tribeca put her face in the pillow and Zoe laughed at her.
"What?"Asked Brooklyn.
Zoe patted his arm"Remember how we said this was anti-garg...well you'll see"
Brooklyn turned back to the television just in time to see a gargoyle perched onto
of 
the building start to crack. Brooklyn was amazed how realistic it looked. Yet, he
noticed 
that only the eye cracked open and was glowing red. "Damn"
Lex patted Tribeca on the back" it's over."
 She lifted her head" Oh good. I've always hated that part."
Goliath shifted on the couch" Now I can see why humans fear us...if this is how we
are depicted"
Zoe leaned forward to talk to Goliath" You thought that was bad...wait..it gets
worse."
Tribeca patted Bronx's head" it's ok Bronx..I still love you." Bronx lifted his head
and 
licked her hand. Lex scratched behind Bronx's ear" They do really look alike."
Tribeca nodded" now you know why I freaked out when I met him" she smiled.
Hudson stood up" Och. I've seen enough. I'm going to the library."
"Bye Hudson," everyone said.

Fox had just gotten home from taking Kally home. Alex ran to see the twins as 
Fox made her way to her own room. David was in bed already reading Machevilli's The
Prince (Author's Note: for those who don't know..this is a how-to-do book on global
conquest. No joke.) Fox kicked off her shoes and joined him, snuggling close to him.
Xanatos put down his book and kissed her forehead,"Happy?"
"Very." answered Fox.
Xanatos smiled "Is Alex happy?" Fox lifted her head up and kissed him on the
lips,"He's on Cloud 9"
"Well, tell him to come back before 11" Fox giggled.
"Have you decided what we are going to do at my father's this year?"
Fox moved off the bed and began to underdressed. No, why do you have any requests?"
Xanatos nodded"As a matter of fact, I do. I want us to go alone."
Fox finished undressing and slip a silk sea-green nightgown on,"Alone?"
"Not just me. I mean you, Puck, Abby, and the kids. I respect the gargs but it would

attract to much attention plus my father still is critical towards them."
Fox nodded and slipped under the covers,"I agree. I'll speak to Goliath."
"No, I'll do it. I just wanted to know you're reaction?"
"I'm fine with it, David,"she kissed his nose,"Petros is not the modernizing type.
 I don't think Goliath will mind either. With the egg and Angela?"
David signed and smiled"True" Fox got up and put her robe on"I'm going to go 
talk to Abby. I'll be right back."

Alex skipped down the hall, passed the movie crew and straight to Puck and Abby's 
apartment. Puck was sitting in the fairly large living room on a recliner reading
what 
looked like a gold book. "Hi"he said. Puck dropped the book and it disappeared,
"Hey, you scared me. What's up?"
Alex walked up to his mentor,"Is Luna asleep?"
Puck looked down the hallway to his right and shook his head,"Nope. 
Go ahead in. Maybe you can stop them."
Alex said ok and walked down the hall.*Stop them?* he thought.
Puck was about to look at the book again when Fox opened the door. 
*Damn, what is this Grand Central Station?* thought Puck. "Good Evening Mrs.
Xanatos.
 Is there a problem?"
Fox walked passed him,"Nope, just here to see Abby."
Puck nodded and waited until he heard the door shut before he materialized the 
book. He quickly turned to the people he was on and read.:
	"The child born will reveal the secret the Puck has hidden."
As Puck read this line the words changed and the Book added,"Isn't that right
Puck?"
Puck shut the book and threw it to the floor. It remained closed but a
phosphorescent 
glow beated around it. Puck had his hand over his mouth. Shocked and scared of what

he read. The secret was that big, but maybe he had to tell someone then the book
would 
stop haunting him. And who better to tell: Nimh. Puck grabbed a piece of note paper
from 
a desk and wrote "Went to Mina's. be back in a flash." He walked to the kitchen
stuck it 
on  the refrigerator. Then, with a snap of his fingers he was gone.
Alex had heard the muffled sounds of Luna and Robin arguing. When Alex opened the 
door he was just able to duck to miss a stuffed teddy bear to the head."Sorry,
Alex."said Luna.
Alex looked at the room. the twins were floating on opposite ends of their room.
There 
was a white line glowing down the middle. Alex cleared his throat, "um, do we have a
problem here?"
Luna nodded and folded her arms. Alex could tell her tomato red piss her 
ears"Tell my brother that I don't want to share a room with him anymore."
"And you can tell my SISTER that I don't either!"yelled Robin.
"Well, then maybe he should move out, tell him that Alex."
Robin was about to respond Alex put his hand up"Stop this, please. you two are
hurting my ears."
Luna floated over, making sure not to cross the line, to Alex"We're sorry. It's just
that we 
don't want to share a room anymore."
Alex smiled"I think I got that from the yelling"
Robin smiled and dropped onto his bed"I'm sorry Luna"
Luna looked down at her brother,"I'm not! I want my own room."
Alex grabbed Luna's ankle and pulled her down. He grabbed her and pushed her onto
her 
bed."I'll ask my dad about it. He can do something, ok?" Luna looked at her brother
and
 gave him a sour look,"Ok, but I'll only stop because you asked me, uncle Alex."
Alex nodded and went over to Robin. he was already under the covers,"And what 
about you?"asked Alex.
Robin nodded,"I'll stop,"waving his hand to make the white line disappear,"but only

until you talk to Grandpa David.."
"Agreed. So, would you like a Kally update?"
"YES!!"cried Luna as she jumped out of bed and onto Rob's. Alex always thought 
that the part of Puck's personality they inherited was unusual. They could be angry

or upset one minute, then in a flash, they were happy. Like nothing ever happened. 
he shrugged it off,*At least they weren't fighting.*

Fox and Abby were talking about Maine."Is that what dad said?" asked Abby.
"Yes."
"Whoa. Well, you're right about the gargoyles. Angela won't leave the egg for 
anything. Broadway will stay. Hudson will stay. He's so excited about being a 
great"grandfather I think he's going to spoil the baby more than Goliath."
Fox laughed,"I know. He already is making a little sword for it. He says that even 
if it's a girl, he's learned that girls are just as tough as guys. So, this
gargoyles will 
be the best swordsperson ever. I already talked to Brooklyn and he said that he is 
going to stay. Zoe is working at her internship."
Abby interrupted"How is that going?"
"Good. Owen says she's a regular" Fox gave Abby a grin.
Abby chuckled"And Owen would know. Goliath won't go because of the egg and 
he wants to be here to help Elisa and Matt."
"That just leaves Lex."
"Lex said that he may be going with Tribeca to a computer convention in
Poughkeepsie.
 [Author's note: home of Marist College..GO RED FOXES!!!] They are staying with one

of Tribeca's friends at the college there."Abby stood up and got a cup of
coffee"Want one?"
Fox shook her head" No thanks. I need to sleep."
After Abby sat down she looked like she was in a daze."Abby, you ok?"
Abby nodded with a smile"The twins have stopped fighting. Alex is talking to them."
"Alex seems to have that effect on people. Why are they fighting?"
Abby shrugged"They don't want to share a room anymore. I can understand that 
but remember when I was pregnant we didn't know I was going to have twins."
Fox tapped her fingers on the table in thought."You know. it would be no problem 
to take the storage closet next store and the balcony to make two other rooms."
"Really? you don't think daddy will mind?"
"Nah. He still waiting for more grandchildren."Fox saw Abby's face sadden
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that."
"I know. I just don't know what's wrong. Puck and I have tried 'everything' 
and I just can't get pregnant. I went to the doctor and he's just as stumped. 
Besides, it won't be the best time to get pregnant. With Mina and Angela, 
there is going to be enough babies to go around."
Fox placed her hand over Abby's" True enough. But I know you wish to have 
another. So does Puck."
Abby chuckled."Wha?"asked Fox.
"You just sounded like your mother."Fox shuttered"Please don't say that. 
That's a big fear of mine."
"Isn't it ever child's to become like their parent's?"
Fox looked Abby in the eye,"No, I meant that I would 'become' like my 
mother. I look like her when she's Titania..I don't know I'm just rambling."
Abby smiled"That's ok. It happens.But back to the subject of babies. I see
 this as my body telling me that it's not time. If it happens.Great! If not, maybe
later."
Fox smiled"David and I are thinking about having another baby."
Abby choked on her coffee"Another?"
Fox answered" Yes, we think Alex needs a sister or brother. We both were 
only children and we know how lonely it can be. Yet, Alex does have Luna 
and Robin and the gargoyles..but I don't think it's the same.
Abby smiled"Thanks"
Fox looked confused"What?"
Abby smiled" I am his sister!"
Fox put her hand over her mouth" Oh Jez Abby. I'm sorry. I keep forgetting 
that..since you are so much older."
Abby waved her hands" It's ok. I was just kidding. I would have loved to have 
a sibling closer to my age when I was little. I say go for it!"
Fox nodded"I think I will. But do you think Oberon will try to take it?"
Abby shook her head "No. Puck is here to train the baby and we always have Luna."
Fox nodded"True."

A very frantic Rick Moranis runs up to a classy restaurant, banging on the 
glass begging the people inside to let him in. "There's got to be a way in....gotta
get away!"  
He's banging on the glass again then suddenly stops and turns to the sound of
snarling.  
The gargdog is right there with its eyes flaring red and snarling in a way to expose
rows of teeth.  
To the people inside the restaurant the weird man starts screaming and slowly slides
down the glass wall. Once he stops they all go back to their own businesses.
After watching Sigorney Weaver's terrifying possession by one of the 
gargdogs, the gargoyles were ready for anything.  But they never expected Rick
Moranis' 
character to be possessed like that. Brooklyn and Lex just looked at each other in
shock.
Zoe saw them,"What's the matter fellas? Scared?"
Lex turned to face Zoe,"In a way, yes."
Goliath and Elisa got up,"I've seen this movie and I don't think Goliath likes it"
said Elisa.
"You're right I don't. I fear that this is how people see us. And how the Quarrymen
show us to be."
Zoe looked up" Goliath, it's a movie. Most people are smart enough to know that
someone made this up."
"Still" That's all Goliath said and walked out, with Elisa waving goodbye behind
him.
The rest of the crew still watched the movie. The came to the scene where Bill
Murray goes to see Weaver's and she is possessed. She lays on the bed and says,"Do
you want this body?"
"IS that a trick question?" asks Bill Murray.
"I want you inside of me." she answers. 
Brooklyn looks at Zoe," How come you never talk to me like that?"
She punches him playfully in the arm, "Well, if I ever get possessed by a demon,
I'll let you know."
Brooklyn looks at Bronx, who is still sleeping by Tribeca and Lex" Hey, boy..possess
her"
Bronx lifts his head then plops it back down and continues to sleep. Lex and Tribeca
look 
at each other and roll their eyes.

Puck appeared on Mina's couch and noticed that there were alot of candles lit. 
The air smells of perfume and he could see that the dining room table had been 
set for two. He started to walk into the kitchen and stopped when he saw a figure
 moving around in there. Then he saw the refrigerator door shut and Mina walk 
passed. "Mina?"he whispered.
The figure stopped and walked into the living room where Puck was standing.  
As she walked in Puck could see that her hair was pulled back in a loose ponytail.
 Her face was decorated perfectly with makeup. What shocked Puck the most was 
that all Mina was wearing was a red silk oriental robe that was slightly opened, 
exposing her cleavage and perfectly-shaped thighs. Puck had to control himself 
*Remember..she's my Brother.*
In her hands were two glasses and a wine bottle.
*Puck? What are you doing here?!*she yelled mentally.
Puck grinned *Ahh for me?*
Mina sighed *no, I'm 'with' someone rig
