Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon Z
Act One: Sailor Moon

"Sailor V does it again. Is it just me, or have all the criminals in the world gone weak?" Trunks asked as he sat down at the kitchen bar to read the paper. He had just spotted an article on the television about this new super hero. A girl of all things. He'd never say that to any of the women he knew of course, he was scared of them. Except for Bunny, he respected her more than anything. Speaking of which, the teenager came up behind him to kiss him on the back of his head.

"Y'know 'tousan, maybe some humans are stronger than we give them credit for." She greeted as she grabbed an apple to eat as she sat opposite him. Trunks nodded a little. Bunny was a prime example, though she didn't know it. Fourteen years had passed them by since she was left on the door step, ten years since that mark had been discovered by Goten, and only two since she had publicly humiliated Mr. Satan by lifting him into the air and tossing him out of the ring. Yes, the girl had accomplished a lot in her short life, a lot more than anyone had ever deemed. Trunks gave a 'yea right' and sipped his coffee. Today was a Saturday, one of the two days Bunny had nothing to do. She didn't attend public school nor private school. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays Gohan would tutor her during normal school hours and on Tuesdays and Thursdays her grandfather would train her. Saturdays and Sundays were her 'goof-off' days which she usually spent with Bra, Pan or at the arcade all day.  She took a bite of her apple as she gave him the puppy dog eyes. Trunks inwardly groaned when he saw that look. That was the look that usually meant 'lock your wallet in a 90 foot thick titanium vault'.

" 'Tousan, can I have some arcade money please?" She asked, a hint of begging in her voice. Trunks reached for his wallet. Yes, Bunny got an allowance but it was usually blown at the mall with Bra. Handing her a twenty, she hugged him saying thank you over and over. Trunks hugged back and finished his coffee before setting the mug in the sink to be washed out later. Bunny ate the rest of the apple and tossed it into the trash before going to change clothes. She never went out in her training gi because she didn't like getting challenged for fights by people thinking her to be weak. Changing into a pair of shorts and a pink top, she checked her hair in her mirror. Her room had changed over the past ten years. All her toys were in the basement room which had been modified to be like her own private arcade. She preferred the Crown Game center because she could make friends in public places though. While out, Bunny preferred to not tell people her last name because of rival companies and wackos out there, so she called herself 'Bunny Tsukino'. It kept reporters off of her a lot. Bunny ran down the stairs, grabbed her shoes that were resting by the door, told her father good-bye and ran out, putting her shoes on as she ran.

"I hope the new Sailor V game is in!" She squealed as she ran on. Smiling some, and tucking the money into her shorts she kept going. Skidding around a corner, she ran into some kids in school uniforms. She slowed to a walk. She knew that usually kids wore their uniforms on Saturdays and she had never seen another kid off of school grounds while in uniforms. The girls were in white uniforms and dark blue skirts with red bows and the boys were in navy blue uniforms. Bunny gulped a little and kept walking. She had almost passed them when a girl with short wavy brown hair called out to her.

"Oi! What school are you from?" She asked. Bunny's heart stopped as she turned around to face the small group. She nervously bit her lower lip as she thought of an answer.

"I...I don't go to school...b...but my 'tousan is thinking of enrolling me in Mugen." She explained. Yes, Trunks was considering enrolling her in the Mugen School under the Martial Arts programs, saying it'd be good for her. Bunny had been against the idea, saying that she'd hate it after what Goten had explained to her. ("Y'know how much pain and suffering your 'tousan and I went through when fighting Majin Buu? Him and school are like comparing a Merry-go-round with a 90 K.P.H, 23-loop, upside down the whole way roller coaster." "So it'll be that easy?" "...Majin Buu was the Merry-go-round.")

"Really?! Gee, you must be rich to be able to go to that fancy school. Only really rich people can go there. I'm Naru, what's your name?" The girl asked again. Bunny quit biting her lip to talk more clearly.

"I'm Bunny Tsukino." She said. 'Serenity Briefs' almost slipped out, but didn't at least. If she had said that a HUGE crowd would have gathered since the press only knew her formal name. Trunks had been quite thoughtful in having her change her hair style when she went out in public with him, because it was quite distinctive really.

"That's a cute name. Well like I said, I'm Naru, and this's Umino." She said, introducing her friend. Bunny shook their hands politely, giving a 'nice to meet you' with each.

"So Bunny, you look a lot like Serenity Briefs." Umino said, as he pulled out a picture of her. Bunny tensed a little. A fan? Oh great.

"Oh Umino, she couldn't be Serenity Briefs. Serenity wouldn't wear her hair like that. She wears it really fancy." Naru told him. Bunny nodded a few times. Umino shrugged some before putting the picture up.

"Did you see the Tenkaichi Budokai two years ago? Serenity Briefs is the strongest person in the world! She threw Mr. Satan out of the ring with one hand!" He said. Bunny gave a nod. She remembered that day. That was the day she stopped wearing gi's in public.

"Um...I'm going to the arcade...do you....wanna come with me?" She asked. Naru shook her head. She would have loved to but she couldn't today.

"Gee, I'm really sorry Bunny, but Umino and I have a test to study for. Maybe tomorrow." She said. Turning, she grabbed Umino by the ear to drag him off. Umino was yelping a little as it felt like his ear was being ripped off. Bunny sighed softly and continued to walk on towards the arcade. She rounded the corner and wasn't paying attention to where she was going, so it was to late to do anything when she bumped into an older man.

"Hey! Watch it odango atama!" He shouted. Bunny growled and hurriedly turned to face him.

"These are BUNS you baka! Buns! Not odangos!" She screeched at him. He snickered.

"Whatever you say Odango." He said. She got a good look at him, and found him...weird beyond comparison. He was in a tuxedo and wore sunglasses, like he was trying to disguise himself. A real wacko. Groaning, she looked at the jewelry store he had come out of. Osa*P jewelry, which was having a big sale. Bunny considered going in but decided the Sailor V game was higher on the to-do list. She continued on her way to the arcade. The man watched her for a moment.

'That hair style is so familiar...no I can't concern myself with a familiar face. I have a jewel to find. The Ginzuishou...' He thought...

Bunny walked into the arcade and looked around. She didn't see anyone in there and figured they must've been on a break. She went to leave, when a male voice called to her. She turned and smiled to see Motoki there. She had a huge crush on him but was to scared to admit it. Love was a strange thing really. She walked over with the money to get some game tokens.

"So Bunny, how's life?" He asked as he began to count the gold coins out for her.

"Same old stuff..." She replied as she pulled out her token bag. Motoki smiled some and dumped the tokens into the bag for her.

"There ya go. I'll call you at closing time." He said as she went to the new Sailor V game. Bunny could get so absorbed in the games that she would lose track of time frequently. Motoki had often offered to call her or give her a ride home, but she refused with a passion to let him hear her father's voice or see their home. It made the man suspicious at times but he dropped it. Dropping a token in she began to play. At two o'clock, she heard the doors slide open and footsteps come her way. Before she could turn to see who it was, a black cat with an odd bald spot on its forehead, landed on the game and began to stare at her. Bunny yelped and fell back out of her chair and into the arms of...

"Goten-Oji!" She squealed. Goten grinned as he stood her up. She had yet to drop the '-oji' from his name, but he didn't care. The cat kept starring at Bunny, creeping her out. Soon the feline jumped away and ran out of the arcade. Bunny shook her head before turning back to her father's best friend in the world.

"What brings you here?" She asked. Goten snatched her token sack, grabbed a few, and proceeded to go to a crane game. Bunny yelled at him for stealing the tokens but walked over to where he was.

"Ah, Pan's birthday is coming up and I need an inexpensive gift so when your dad told me you were down here, I decided to win her something." He explained to her. Bunny nodded a little and watched him try and grab a locket. After a few failed attempts, he grabbed it and watched it drop through the chute. He reached to grab it and pocket it.

"Wanna go do something?" He asked as he turned to face her. Bunny nodded a few times, waved good-bye to Motoki, and walked outside with Goten who decided to be annoying.

"Does Bunny have a crush on someone?" He asked. She blushed heavily at that remark and furiously shook her head, her blonde pigtail shimmering in the light.

"So why're you blushing so much? And you're...I knew it! You're smiling! You like him! Man when your Ojiisan finds out he'll..." Goten began before Bunny got in front of him, giving him the puppy dog eyes.

"Don't tell Ojiisan! Please don't tell Ojiisan! He might hurt Motoki!" She begged. Goten laughed and reached out to pat her head. After explaining that he wouldn't do that to a human, since he himself was half, they walked on to find some place to eat. Bunny spotted an ice cream store and directed Goten to it, begging for chocolate. Bunny really surprised him and everybody else. She was a human but she ate like a Saiya-jin. Every Christmas it was a fight between her and the others for the last whatever-was-left-over. It amazed them all really. Goten pulled his wallet out and began to order the ice cream. Bunny turned around as she felt a pair of eyes stare at her. She spotted the blue eyes of that cat watching her again and she gave a little whine as she turned back around to get Goten's attention. However, the animal was gone. Shaking her head a little as she grabbed the ice cream cone, she began to eat.

"So now what? I got what I came to town for." He said to her. Bunny yawned a little.

"Can we head to Obaasan's? I need a nap." She said. Goten smiled and rubbed her hair.

"Sure thing kiddo. How? Do we walk, (It's close to a hundred miles away) do we fly, (Bunny can't fly yet since she doesn't have enough Ki) or you take Nimbus and I'll fly?" He asked. Bunny gave him a 'what are you, a dummy?' look. Goten smiled a little and called for the magical cloud as soon as they were in an alley way. Bunny climbed on and in no time, the two were on their way to Capsule Corp. Unknown to either, that cat kept watching Bunny...

"Obaasan! Ojiisan!" Bunny said as she ran inside, looking for her grandparents. She saw Vegeta on the couch, grumbling about something or other. Probably broke the gravity room again. Bunny came up behind him and sat down. His mood lifted somewhat, but not much and of course he'd never show it.

"Hi Ojiisan!" She squealed.

"Hello Buns." He replied, before looking away again. Bunny giggled into her hand. Goten left by now leaving the two.

"Didja break the gravity room again?" She asked. Vegeta snorted again and Bunny giggled again. Remembering why she had come over, she gave him a kiss on the cheek before heading for her room. She moved to her bed and just fell onto it, yawning loudly. She rolled onto her side to look out the window while she fell asleep. She felt her eyes droop slightly and it wasn't long before she was deep in sleep, dreaming away...

"How rude!" A female voice came, waking her up quickly. Sitting on the bed right next to her was that black cat! Bunny sighed a little and went to pet her, thinking for a moment, the cat had spoken.

"Geeze...you scared me kitty. How'd you get that bald spot?" She asked. The cat hissed a little, before straightening her posture.

"What a rude girl you are! This isn't a bald spot, and my name isn't 'kitty'. I am Luna, and I have been sent to find you Serenity Briefs." The cat said. Bunny backed up to the edge of the bed, deeply freaked out. The cat just spoke! Not only did it speak to her, it called her by her real name. Bunny ran for the door, screaming for her grandfather, but was silenced by Luna threatening to slash her up.

"Not a word of this to anyone, especially not to your grandfather. Now, back to business Serenity, or shall I call you by your preferred name, Bunny? It doesn't matter, what DOES matter is that I've been looking for you for quite some time now. You see, I've been sent to...well, to 'awaken' you. It's been a long time, but I managed to find the password." Luna explained. For the last month, she had been in Bunny's home and managed to find the letter left with Bunny those fourteen years ago. The final line that no one could read had been the elusive password. Bunny heard something thud against her pillow and she walked over to find a brooch laying there. She lifted it up and looked it over. The four gems sticking out of it were Red, Blue, Green, and a yellowish-orange one. Each were slightly dulled. In the middle was a pink one which was giving a faint glow and a crescent moon which was also dulled.

"That's your transformation locket Bunny. It's the best I can give you, as my power is not yet restored to full, and without the gathering of the others, this is as far as you go. Now Bunny, hold your hand in the air and call out 'Moon Prism Power, Make-up!' " She finished. Bunny thought this was a dream but decided to play along for fun. She thrust her hand into the air.

"Moon Prism Power, Make-UP!" She called out. In seconds she had changed. Her clothing was different. She rushed to the mirror to see what had happened. A body suit, a short skirt, a sailor collar, long gloves, a tiara, gems clipped to her buns. wing clips in her hair, a bow with that broach clipped to it on her chest, big boots and a white mask on her eyes.

"WOAH! If Ojiisan catches me in this, he'll kill me!" She cried. Luna sighed at the teen's attitude.

"I knew it! You are the one! The warrior sworn to protect the princess!" Luna told her. Bunny stared at her for a few moments, before a loud yell filled her room and something began to happen to her mask. What seemed to be a movie was playing in them, the sound came from the hair gems. She jumped, pulling the said mask away.

"L-luna, there's something happening!" She yelped. It was that girl, Naru. She was being attacked by something.

"Your friend is in danger Bunny. You have to go help her." Luna said. Bunny went to her window and began to call for Nimbus, but Luna stopped her, saying if she shouted, someone might hear and that she should fly. Bunny protested, saying she couldn't and Luna said that in this form her Ki altered to that of a Lunarian. She had enough power now. She had an excess. After a quick tutorial on what to do the girl jumped out the window, cat in tow, and flew off as fast as she cold to Tokyo.

"Luna, I'm flying! I'm finally doing it!" Bunny said happily. Luna nodded.

"Enjoy it while it lasts. As soon as you transform back, your Ki will revert back to its original state. This change will always occur during transformation." The feline explained. Bunny nodded and flew on, unknowingly being followed. Goten had spotted an oddly dressed girl, similar looking to Sailor V, fly overhead and decided to check it out. He hadn't been spotted yet and managed to draw close enough to listen to the Ki explanation. That was why he couldn't recognize this girl, though she seemed quite familiar...

"Where is it? Where is it?! I must have it! The Ginzuishou!" The monster cried to Naru who just cowered there, helplessly.

"I...I don't know what you're talking about!" Naru yelled. The monster tossed her to a corner before going back to raid the jewelry. On a window ledge stood a man in a gray uniform with red trim, frowning. If he couldn't find it this time, his queen would have his head. Shuddering at the thought of what was to come, he paced a little. Tossing a fireball up and down in his hand like a baseball, he kept pacing.

"Well?!" He barked at the monster who merely turned to him.

"I can't find it lord Jadeite..." The monster said. The fireball vanished and he rubbed his temples. He should have known. He had specifically chosen this store to look through because Sailor V was in South City yesterday, and he should have known he wouldn't have found anything with such a hasty decision. Damn.

"Keep looking! I want a complete check! If we don't find it, it'll be YOUR head!" He yelled angrily. Better some worthless monster take the wrap. Outside, Bunny and Luna listened in, with Goten hiding around the corner.

"Luna, this's for real..." Bunny whimpered as she scooted back. She felt a stinging on her chest and figured it was the mark burning again. Luna normally would have been worried, but as Bunny didn't bring it up and didn't show pain, Luna didn't know to worry.

"Don't be afraid Bunny. This is your destiny. This is why you were born." Luna explained. Goten's jaw just hit the floor. Bunny?! That was Bunny?! Something wasn't right. He had half a mind to go over there and demand an explanation, but of course she was taking orders from a talking cat. If he said that to her family, they'd probably assume he'd taken to many hits to the head. He stayed quite as he watched Bunny drop in on the fight and prayed that Vegeta had taught her enough to get her through this. Bunny gracefully landed on her feet, startling Jadeite and the monster.

"What the..?! No. Wait. You aren't Sailor V." He said, a hint of relief in his voice. The monster growled a little.

"So who are you runt?" It asked. Bunny didn't know what happened for the next few moments. It was as if...as if someone ELSE was inside her to speak.

"I am the beautiful Sailor Suited warrior for Love and Justice who takes charge of the soul, I am Sailor Moon, and in place of the Moon you're punished!" She called. Where'd that come from? Goten blinked. Bunny didn't even know what the Moon WAS! He knew, but he had never seen it since he had learned Piccolo had destroyed it to save the Earth from Gohan. He looked at the sky to see something he never thought he'd see in his life. It'd been a little over forty years, maybe even longer but up in the sky sat a crescent Moon. A Moon. He turned his gaze back to Bunny and Luna. Sailor Moon and the Moon that orbited the Earth...was there connection somehow? Maybe her transformation triggered its return? It was a plausible theory, and in a way it was correct. The Moon had been under an illusion of being destroyed by Sailor Neo Moon, an American Sailor Senshi. Though she wasn't truly Neo Moon, this Senshi was an invaluable ally.

"Sailor Moon! You're only an old Lunarian legend!" Jadeite yelled. He ordered the monster to attack, deciding to not risk a fight with a legend who could turn out to be more powerful than anything ever seen before. The monster threw an attack at her, blowing the girl back. Goten bared his teeth and had to restrain that Saiya-jin instinct that ordered him to jump in and help her. Bunny scraped her knee, drawing blood. Tears filled her blue eyes.

"This really ISN'T a dream! I wanna go home to my 'tousan!" She yelled loudly, causing the gems in her hair to light up and release a LOUD blast of sound, that shattered glass nearby. Unfortunately for the monster and for Goten, they were in the radius. Goten yelled in pain, as he covered his sensitive ears. The yell wasn't heard over the monsters cries of agony though.

"Sailor Moon! Pull your tiara off!" Luna ordered. Bunny stared at the cat for a few seconds before taking it off her head. The second she did, it snapped into an oval like shape with a crescent moon charm dangling from the thin side.

"Woah!" The girl exclaimed.

"Now! Throw it at the enemy while yelling 'Moon Frisbee Action!' " Luna ordered. Bunny nodded and threw the item at the monster while shouting out what she was told. The tiara, or Moon Frisbee, powered up and shot straight through the monster, slicing her in half. The halves faded away and Bunny directed the weapon to Jadeite. He merely knocked it aside before vanishing. Bunny walked over to the disk and yelped as it attached itself back to her forehead.

"Interesting Sailor Moon. I rather enjoyed myself." A new, yet familiar, voice called out. Bunny looked up to see a man in the most ridiculous outfit she'd ever seen. As stupid as he looked, she couldn't help but blush. Love at first sight.

"My name is Tuxedo Kamen and I look forward to our next meeting!" He called before leaving out a window. Luna cleared her throat to speak, but was cut off by the sound of someone walking up to them from behind. Bunny spun on her heel to be face to face with Goten. Before she could speak, he did.

"Well Bunny, do you wanna tell your father, or should I?" He asked. The eyes of the two females went wide. Fear from Luna and disbelief from Bunny.

"Goten-Oji, don't tell 'tousan! Don't tell anyone!" She begged. Goten rubbed her head as her outfit began to shimmer and revert to the clothes she had been wearing before. Lifting her up into his arms as she held Luna and the brooch, he left before Naru could come to her senses.

"Looks like you've got your work cut out for you Bunny." He said. Luna looked at the man.

"Yes. Perhaps that you now know her secret, you should be aware of her destiny as well..." The feline began as she began to tell him about Sailor Moon...

"And in other news, it seems our favorite champion of justice now has some help in the form of 'Sailor Moon'..." The news caster droned on before Trunks flipped the television off. It was the next day and Bunny was in bed, like she had been all day. Goten had brought her home, saying that she had gotten caught up in that fighter and was knocked out in the process. He also claimed that Sailor Moon had been there with her. Luckily, the videos from the security cameras were missing. Goten knew it had to have been the work of that 'Kamen' guy but he didn't question it. Bunny got off lucky that time.

"Well, that's a new one. I wonder who these girls are?" Trunks asked his friend before sipping his coffee. Goten shrugged. Slouching over, his mind began to wander. That letter left with Bunny fourteen years ago...whoever left it, according to Luna, KNEW about her destiny. A Lunarian perhaps who felt a strong bond with the warriors. Perhaps the princess. Luna told them she thought it was Neo Moon, but dismissed the theory. Neo Moon had been placed in stasis after using so much energy to cast that final illusion. Goten and Bunny agreed. They had to stop this enemy by finding the princess. And to do that, they needed all four Senshi. They really did have their work cut out for them...

Notes:

Sailor Neo Moon- One of my own creations. Sailor Neo Moon was the baby sister to Princess Serenity and was reborn in America with the Neo Senshi. Out of the four, only she kept the 'Neo Moon' in her name, the others took on separate names: Sailors Guardian, Dark Moon, Omega, and Phi or Sailors Neo Jupiter, Mars, Mercury, and Venus respectively. However Sailor Omega lost her powers and Beryl gave them to her own Senshi. There was a Sailor Earth who has a long past. Earth killed Neo Moon, took on her name in remorse, and took over her role. Earth is locked away on the Moon, and Omega is on the look-out.
