Chi-Chi's Visit

Another chapter, another chapter….  Thanks to everyone who commented on my story!  You words mean the world to me!

Q/A:    Answer to Peaches’s question.  I update much faster than most writers.  (Not trying to brag, but it’s true.  Mainly because I have no life and I spend most of my free time on this computer.)  I usually update every 3-5 days.  Maybe even two.  ^-^

Answer to Quatres Baby.  As a matter of fact, this chapter has got some K/CC action, so you don’t have to wait that long!  ^-^

        Certainly not me!

^-^  Cute lil’ poem, no? ……………Ok, maybe that was a bit cheesy.

Steal after my heart, would you?

“Thank goodness,” Bulma muttered as the 1500-hour bell rang.  She hurriedly packed up her stuff, and left the classroom at Chi-Chi’s side.

“I never thought that class would end!” Chi-Chi muttered.  Bulma sighed.

“Me neither.”  She glanced over at Chi-Chi, and noticed that her friend looked nervous, yet excited.  Then she remembered the little arrangement she and Bardock had together.  Chi-Chi bit her bottom lip.

“Listen Chi,” Bulma said, laying a hand on Chi-Chi’s shoulder.  “You don’t have to go through this if you don’t want to.”

Chi-Chi was silent for a moment longer, obviously thinking about what Bulma had said.  “But,” she protested softly, reaching their lockers.  “But I want to go.”

Bulma nodded, grabbing the books she’d be needing for homework.  “Well, you know to just leave if anything gets funny.  And please call me as soon as you get home!”

Chi-Chi laughed strangely.  “Why Bulma, you’re making it sound as if I’m going to die in a few hours!  There’s nothing dangerous about going to his house!”  It sounded to Bulma as if Chi-Chi was trying to convince herself.  This made Bulma uneasy.  She opened her mouth to reply, but someone cut her off before she could.

“Going to whose house?” a very familiar and annoying voice asked.  Bulma slammed her locker shut, and Chi-Chi spun around.

“None of your business, Zoë,” Chi-Chi answered promptly, holding her head high.  Bulma shifted the weight of the books in her arms, and turned around to see Zoë looking from Chi-Chi to herself, smiling strangely, as if the witch was working out a very interesting equation in her head.  Bulma felt slightly better, noticing that Vegeta wasn’t at Zoë’s side.

“You’re going to a guy’s house,” Zoë stated, lodging this piece of information in the ‘juicy gossip’ section of her brain.  “Whose house?  A new boyfriend, perhaps?”

“Zoë, you seriously need to get a life so you can stop butting into others’!” Bulma spat.  She turned on her heel, and walked off, Chi-Chi not far behind.

Zoë glared after the blue-haired human, her face turning into a look so sour and evil that anyone would shudder to look at it.

Bulma slowly walked home, her head down.  She couldn’t seem to get Chi-Chi off her mind.

No, stop that Bulma.  You’re being stupid.  This is your honorable teacher Bardock we’re talking about here!  He’s not some asshole that’d take advantage of your best friend.

But still….

Bulma sighed, reaching the front door to her house.  She unlocked the lock, and opened the door.

Bulma flicked the light switch on, and put her books down on a nearby coffee table.  She stretched, her back popping.  She headed towards her main desk to check for messages.

Sayians had inventions similar to computers, but more advanced.  They were more like artificial intelligence, and were so well designed that they had a sort of personality, and a person could carry on a shallow conversation with it.  This particular computer had been programmed to understand Bulma’s dialect when she had arrived on Vegetasei, so she could now talk to it if she wanted to write a letter, do her homework, or just put her thoughts on paper.

“On computer!” Bulma barked.  The gigantic black screen blinked, seemingly springing to life.  Bulma sat down in her chair.

“Good afternoon Bulma,” her computer greeted in a very handsome, male voice, courtesy of Bulma herself.

“Good afternoon Hector.  How was your day?”

“Boring, Bulma.  And yours?”

“Interesting.  I met the prince today.  He’s a prick.  And Zoë was a bitch, as usual.”

“Oh.”

“Bring up mailbox Hector.”

“Complying.”

The computer screen brought up a new window, and began loading messages.  Bulma tapped her foot impatiently.

“Hurry up, would you?” she shouted at it.

“Well excuse me Miss Thing.  I’m doing the best I can…”  Bulma smiled.  “Messages received,” it finally announced.

“Great.”  She studied the screen.  “Delete items 1, 3, and 4 please Hector.”

“Complying.”

“And bring up message 2.”

“Complying.”

“And stop saying complying!”  It didn’t respond for a moment or two.  And then:

“Whatever.”  She giggled.

“Shall I read the article allowed?” the computer asked her.  Bulma was silent for a moment, reading the headlines and the first small paragraph.

“Sure.”

“‘Congratulations to the Prince, who turned 17 last week,’” Hector began to quote.  “‘As we all know, there was a large dinner, dancing, and plenty gift giving for his celebration.  But what is the real eye catcher?

“Since Vegetasei’s ancient year of 5670, the Royal Family has set up the tradition of ‘mate-searching’, as most like to call it.  At the age of 17 for princes, and at the age of 19 for princesses, the Royal children begin their search for a sex partner.

“Today, our honorable prince has started this blessed search.  And what better place than Poleino’s High School?  Poleino’s High School was founded in 3287 by the famous professor Eric Poleino, and has become one of Vegetasei’s most honorable educational districts.  Prince Vegeta intends to find a suitable female there that will later become Vegetasei’s queen.

“For those of you who don’t know the way the ‘mate-searching’ ceremony goes, here is a brief explanation.  At the end of next week, Prince Vegeta will select 5 females out of the hundreds that attend Poleino High, and they will be brought to the castle to be tested.  Under closer observation, Prince Vegeta will reach his decision.  Once he has, the two will be wed, and Prince Vegeta will be crowned King.

“The public eagerly awaits your decision, Prince Vegeta, and we wish you luck.  Choose carefully.’”

Bulma sighed happily, thinking about the prince.  The most beautiful face and body she’d ever seen… too bad he had such an awful attitude.  She’d never get along with him.

“Toss it in the trash, Hector,” Bulma said.

“Deleting.”

“Whatever happened to complying?”

“You told me not to say it Bulma.”

“Oh.  Right.”

She yawned, and stretched.

I wonder if Chi-Chi will be alright…

Chi-Chi slowly raised her hand, and with a deep breath, knocked on the front door twice.  She inhaled and exhaled several times, trying to calm herself down.  She looked down at her watch.  5:40.

The front door opened, and Chi-Chi abruptly looked up.  She gasped, almost took a step back in her surprise.

There was one of the ugliest women Chi-Chi had ever seen in her life in the doorway.  She was a small creature that looked at least 60, and had several gray hairs among her mass of black.  Her hair had lost some of its spunk that it must have had earlier in life, and was now drooping at the sides of her head, giving her appearance an even more bedraggled look.  But probably the most noticeable thing to Chi-Chi was that this woman had a patch over her left eye.

“Yes?” the woman asked in a gruff voice.

“Um… uh…” she stuttered.  Chi-Chi couldn’t summon the words to come out of her mouth.  They were muffled by her surprise.

“Well, what is it?” the old woman barked.  “I don’t have all day, you know!”

“Does… does Bardock live here?” Chi-Chi choked out.

“No!” the woman spat.  “Try the house across the street!”  And with that, the hag slammed the door shut in Chi-Chi’s face.

Chi-Chi hunched over, and turned around, hurriedly tiptoeing away.  Gosh, how embarrassing!  Being so caught up in your thoughts that you didn’t even get the house right!  Chi-Chi felt her face get hot, and knew her cheeks must be turning red.

She walked across the road, and knocked on the house there.

“Kakarroto, boy, answer that!” Bardock’s voice came from inside.  There was the sound of loud footsteps, and then the door swung open.  A very attractive boy was standing before her.

Chi-Chi, gazing into his face, felt her knees getting weak, and actually fell.  The boy caught her under the arms before she could hit the ground, though.  As he carefully pulled her back up, concern written all over his face, Chi-Chi realized that his thumbs were right along-side her breasts, and she felt herself getting red in the face again.

“Are you alright?” the boy asked, slowly letting go.  She nodded dumbly, staring into his eyes.  He looked almost like a perfect image of Bardock, only younger.  It was then that she recognized him as the guy that had been thrown out of first period class this morning, but why was he affecting her so much more now than before?

“Um… do you, want to come in?” he asked her.  She snapped out of her trance.

“Uh, yea.  Yes please.”  He nodded, and opened the door wider for her.

Chi-Chi laid her pocketbook on a table next to the door, noticing the house’s odor.  She inhaled deeply.  It smelt wonderful; just like Bardock and this guy.

“Who is it?” came Bardock’s deep voice from another room.

“Some girl!” the boy shouted back.  He turned to Chi-Chi.  “What’s your name?”

“Chi-Chi.”

“Chi-Chi!” he repeated, loud enough for his father to hear.

“Oh, great!  Excellent!”  There was the sound of footsteps again, and Bardock entered the hallway.  He smiled at Chi-Chi.

Chi-Chi swallowed.  He looked so much better in casual clothes than in the uniform he wore at school….

“Miss Chi-Chi!  How great it is to see you!  I assume you’ve already met my son, Kakarroto?”

“Yes sir, I have,” she answered, glancing at Kakarroto a moment.  He smiled, and gave her a peace sign.  She giggled, and turned back to Bardock.

“Well come in!  Come in!  Have a seat!” Bardock offered.  She nodded, and followed him into a different room, which she immediately recognized as a living room.  She sat down on a comfy, jet-black couch.  Chi-Chi suddenly remembered her worries about this visit earlier, and glanced warily at Bardock, who sat next to her on the couch.  She felt herself getting hot as Kakarroto sat across from the two in a chair.

“Uh, Commander Bardock,” she said before swallowing.  “What exactly… am I going to teach you?”

He chuckled softly, crossed his arms, and placed one of his feet on the other knee, leaning back.  Oh gosh did he ever look hot in that black silk shirt!  He tilted his head back ever so slightly, and looked at her, smiling.

“It’s not me your going to be teaching, Miss Chi-Chi,” he said.  “It’s my son, Kakarroto, that I need you for.”  Her eyes must have widened twice their size, and she turned to look at Kakarroto, who seemed a little nervous.  He was biting his bottom lip, and scratching the back of his head, avoiding her gaze.

“What am I teaching him?”

“Well, you’re not necessarily teaching him,” commented Bardock.  “Just tutoring him.  Kakarroto needs a tutor.”

Chi-Chi stared at Bardock for a minute, and, much to Kakarroto and Bardock’s surprise, suddenly snorted.  The two guys raised an eyebrow as Chi-Chi giggled, then burst into a great fit of laughter.  She clutched her side, and laughed and laughed until tears came out of her eyes.

FINISHED THAT CHAPTER!  What a twist, huh?  Chi-Chi gets to tutor Kakarroto!  Although… some of you had already guessed it…. -_-  Well, I tried, didn’t I?  At least I made an effort!  Anyway, I get the feeling that the two lovebirds will do more than just study, don’t you? ;)  Please review and tell me what you think!
