::PROLOGUE::

Reenie gazed out her window, dreamy and happy at the same time. Mother and Father were going to take her to the stables today to see Celestial, the pure white horse with wings. "Diana," she sighed, her eyes misty, "what do you think Earth is like?" Reenie snapped out of her trance and scratched her head. ‘Where did that question come from?’ she wondered. "I don’t know, Princess," Diana squeaked, "but I thought living in the Moon Palace was enough adventure for you."

"Oh, it is," said Reenie, "I just…want more. Silly of me to think of Earth, huh?" she giggled and climbed down from her bed. "I’ll see you this afternoon, Diana. I know you don’t want to see the stallion, it scares you." Reenie patted her small guardian-in-training on the head and slipped on her shoes, which were white patented leather, glossy, and comfortable. In her Princess Gown she looked exactly like her mother, Serenity. Except she was shorter, had pink hair and had red eyes.

Diana sniffed. "I would go with you, Reenie," she began, "but I think I’m coming down with something. It’s not that I’m scared of a horse." Reenie smiled sweetly and kissed Diana on the tip of her nose. "You’re sweet," she said, "take the day off." She giggled again and walked stately out of her bedroom.

"Go long, Gohan!" Krillin yelled, laughing as Gohan tripped over a rock and went sprawling backward, the football hitting him on the head. "Krillin! Why didn’t you tell me something was there? It would have been a lot easier for me to catch the ball." Krillin just laughed and slapped Gohan on the back as Goku landed softly in front of them, the usual smile on his face. "Hi guys!" he said. "Krillin, 18 says something about you better get home before she knocks you to kingdom come for not helping to take care of your daughter today."

"Oh no," moaned Krillin, "am I gonna get it. I’ll see you guys tomorrow. Big party at Bulma’s since Mirai Trunks is coming home. She’s so excited to have both her present and future son’s around." He shrugged. "Well, I better get home before I’m maimed too much not to be able to go. See you two there!" he waved and flew off. Gohan stood waving for a second and Goku picked up the football that had fallen next to him. "I never understood how to do this." He said, tossing it up into the air and catching it. Gohan grinned and tackled his father. "Hey!" Goku cried, surprised. "That’s how you play the game. Krillin says it’s a contact sport." Gohan said, laughing as his father brushed himself off. "Oh, I see. Your mother’s finished cooking!"

"How do you know?"

"I can smell it from here! I’ll race you home!" Goku took off running, Gohan hot on his trail and both leaving lines of fire across the field they ran on.

Once at home, both Gohan and Goku swallowed all of the food Chichi had put in front of them. She shook her head, arms crossed. "Boy is Gohan and getting big. And you, Goku, you never seem to get big! It’s like your stomachs are blackholes, never to be filled. Am I gonna have to start putting you two on a diet? Eating so fast can’t be healthy." She cleared their plates and grimaced at the broken chopsticks. "Are you telling me you broke our last chopsticks, Goku?" she asked, eyes popping, nostrils flaring. "Uh," he looked down, "maybe?" Chichi burst into tears. "After all I’ve done for this family! We can’t even keep a pair of chopsticks anymore. I try so hard to be a good mother and wife, but I just can’t! I’m a failure, waaaaaah!" Gohan and Goku quickly rushed to her side.

"No, mom, you’re a great mother."

"And a great wife," added Goku. "I’ll make some new chopsticks tomorrow." At this, Chichi’s tears disappeared as though they had never been there, and she smiled. "Good! IN that case, you can mow the lawn, clean the kitchen, get a job, learn how to drive…." She went on but the rest couldn’t be heard because she had gone into Goku’s and her bedroom. Goku looked pleadingly at Gohan, who burst out laughing. "And you can help him, Gohan!" Chichi yelled from the bedroom. The two looked at each other. "I’m not cleaning the kitchen. I’ll break all the dishes with my strength!" Goku whined. "So what? I can’t get a job, I’m too young." Gohan said. They stared at each other and finally sighed, leaving the house through an opened window.

Chichi walked back into the kitchen an hour later. "Gohan? Goku? It’s still a mess in here!" she glared at the open window and muttered words she would never repeat in public.

"Reenie, are you asleep?" Reenie’s eyelids fluttered and red eyes looked into small pinkish-red ones. "I’m awake now, Diana." She murmured, yawning and sitting up to stretch. "Reenie. Look towards your mirror! Something’s wrong!" In a flash, she was staring at a large, open portal. "Wow! Diana, what is it?" she reached out to touch it, but Diana cried out. "No, Reenie! You mustn’t! I sense something." Reenie withdrew her hand and stared at the portal. "It must be some type of—no Reenie! Don’t. Reenie, come back! Reenieeeeeeeeeeeee!!!" but it was too late. Reenie had already been sucked into the portal and was spinning through space and gravity was pulling her down.

She did the only thing she could think of: scream.

The party at Bulma’s started at around two in the afternoon. She had drinks served at a large table, but mostly it was a picnic.

"Trunks is getting so big." She told Chichi. "Just yesterday he lifted a man’s car and threw it out of the street. He completely totaled the car, but he saved a life. Plus, Vegeta says his power is like nothing he’s ever seen." Chichi knew Bulma had to be lying. "Is this the same Vegeta that won’t even admit to being weaker than Goku?" she asked smirking. Bulma blushed. "Well, he didn’t say it, but I know that’s what he’s thinking." The two women laughed as Krillin passed by with Tien and Choutsue. Vegeta hung back by a tree with Bulma’s father’s house in his view. He despised friends and family gatherings, so he says, but everyone knew he secretly liked them. Goten and Trunks were sparring off in the distance a little ways from Bumla’s house, and her parents were chatting Piccolo down to size. Gohan lay in the sun, lemonade at his side while Goku challenged Yamcha to a spar. "Aw, c’mon buddy. What’s the worse that could happen?" Goku was saying, needing a good fight. Yamcha didn’t think about that. "The worse thing is that you could pound me into the ground with your pinkie finger and then say it was an accident. Go spar with Vegeta. He looks pretty bummed about this party anyway." Goku glanced over at Vegeta and was there in a second.

"Of course I will not spar with you." Vegeta was saying, disgusted with Goku. "I will only fight you to a battle to see who the strongest man on Earth is. And that fight I want the whole world to see. Humph." He walked towards the table full of drinks and Goku whined. "Aw, VEGETA! Come ON!" but Vegeta just ignored him. Goku started to go over to Mirai Trunks, who had just come home, but Bulma’s icy glare stopped him.

That was right about the time everyone turned their heads to the sound of sold rock breaking into pieces and a terrified scream ending.

Gohan, Goku, Piccolo, Mirai Trunks, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta, Krillin, Tien, Choutsue and Yamcha hovered around the large crater in a circle. The saiy-jins were powered up to super, yellow hair glowing, ready to attack, and the rest of the guys were powered up. They waited patiently for the smoke and dust to clear, and for the chips of rocks to stop flying everywhere. They all gasped at the sight they saw.

A small girl who couldn’t be any older than nine was curled into a little ball. Her gown was tattered and torn, leaving bare flesh open. Only strips covered her chest and bottom. Her eyes were closed as if she were in a peaceful rest, but there were a few cuts on her left cheek; her legs, bare, cut and bruised, twitched involuntarily. Her arms were small, fragile, and obviously cut, bloody and must have been stinging, Gohan observed. He was thirteen, an older brother, very protective, and very caring. He started to sink down to the girl, whose face was hidden behind a mass of rich pink hair, but Goku grabbed his arm softly.

"Shouldn’t we help her?" Goten and Trunks asked as all the men stood around the crater now. "But how? We can’t move her. It could hurt her." Krillin said, scratching his head full of black hair. "What about Bulma? Couldn’t she help him?" Gohan asked. He didn’t know why, but he felt an attachment to this girl. This nine-year-old baby torn and bruised and fragile.

Vegeta just stared at the girl. She was unconscious, obviously, but what amazed him was that she was alive. A human girl couldn’t possibly survive a fall like that. Which meant, she wasn’t human.

The crescent moon on her forehead proved him right.

"Look! It’s glowing! Her head is glowing!" Goten almost jumped out of his skin when the adults ignored him. But Vegeta was watching. And he was awed. "Hey, you guys!" they all turned to see Bulma, hair flying, coming up fast in her hover car. She jumped out, alone, and jogged over to where they were. "I had to get everyone to go home. Chichi wasn’t too happy, so she’s at the house waiting for you guys—what the he—"

"Yeah, we know." Goku said. His eyes traveled sadly over the small girl. "But we don’t know if we can move her or not." Bulma wasn’t listening. She was already in the crater, cradling the small girl.

Gohan’s eyes practically bulged. "Bulma! What if she’s hurt? What if her neck’s broken! And you moved her!"

Bulma glared at him. "Shut up and help me out of this crater. She needs to get to my house, and fast, or she’s going to die." All eleven guys did everything they could to help the small girl. But where did she come from? How did she find Earth? And why was she here?

There’s Mister Prologue!!! Enjoy the rest!
