::Chapter 2::
Teero laced his fingers together, then unlaced them one by one, and then laced them together again. "Must I be forever waiting?" he asked the woman with blood red full lips at his side. "No, my Lord, but the ancient said you must be patient." She placed a hand on his shoulder and smiled at him. "My king, what was it you wanted with that little nuisance again?" He glared up at her and she removed her hand. "That is none of your business, KeriKoe, and you must remember your place in this palace. I only keep you because of your magic and your beauty. I want the one called Reenie for something much more than anything you could ever give me. Not only is Wickedlady powerful, but she is the most beautiful, evil Lunarian I have ever set my eyes upon. Too bad they changed her back."
"However," he continued, "I shall have my way yet. Only a while longer until I can be complete with my power and my queen. Only a while." He glared into the darkness of his palace and threw the glass of deep red wine off of the table full of foods next to him. "Waiting. I despise waiting. KeriKoe, fetch me the mirror, I want to see what my evil little princess is doing. Go. Now."
He grinned when he saw her fighting. "Don’t get hurt, my pretty girl. You belong to me, and I have yet to find you. The fake moon worked like a charm, and that dumb Namek destroyed it just as planned. Until we meet again." He kissed the mirror and a deep, wicked laugh rang through his palace.
KeriKoe too smiled. Once this Wickedlady was summoned, she would make sure to drain her power and change herself into Wickedlady, and then her king would have to take her. Her plan was perfect, flawless. Greedy. And she would make sure it followed through.
She too was watching Reenie. Closer than anyone knew.
~~BACK AT EARTH~~
Reenie dodged Vegeta’s blast, but fell headfirst to the ground, her pants tattered so only strips hung off her pale legs. "Vegeta-san! Onegai! Have mercy! Don’t kill me!" she jumped up as soon as he fired another blast at her, her arms flailing about like a headless chicken. "VE-GE-TA! Stop chasing me! I forfeit! I give up! I quit!"
She turned to another huge boulder and ran right into him, again. "EEK!" She squealed when she tried to run the other way and he grabbed her wrist. "Reenie. How do you ever expect me to train you in the art of martial arts if all you do is run away?"
She considered this. "I’m not running."
She said, and punched him timidly in the stomach. "If I wanted you to tap me I
would have asked you to. Now stop being a ditz and fight me. I won’t use ki
blasts, OK?"
"Promise? By the way, what are ki blasts?"
Vegeta sighed and ran his hand through his hair, something he never did. They had a long way to go. "Ki blasts are blasts of my energy channeled throughout my body. I put them in a form of energy I can touch, can feel, and blast it."
"Can I do that?" she asked meekly.
"Well I don’t know you run too much for me to tell."
"Don’t be such a smart allelic."
"Don’t be such a wimp. I despise wimps, they remind me of Kakkorrot."
"Who?"
"Nevermind. Now, fight me. Attack me while I’m staring at you."
"I can’t!" she whined with pleading eyes. Vegeta learned to ignore those eyes. "You can, and you will, or I’ll kill you right now."
Reenie gasped as Vegeta moved in. "V-Vegeta, you won’t k-k-kill me? Please! Onegai, onegai, I’m scared of you!" tears fell from her eyes as Vegeta reared back his balled fist inches from her face. At the moment he struck, she blocked with a blast of energy sending Vegeta into a boulder after breaking three trees on his way there.
He was unhurt when he stood up again, but utterly amazed. Then, he frowned. "Don’t tell me you’re like Kakkorrot’s little brat."
"Who?"
"You can only summon up your power when you or one of your friends is in danger, or when you’re angry. Oh great. What a loss. I guess we’re going to have to toughen you up into a tomboy after all." With that, he ran at her full speed. But this time, Reenie didn’t run. She met him head on, fist for fist, kick for kick, breath for breath.
Vegeta beat the snot out of her.
Gohan and Mirai Trunks, followed by Goku, Goten, Trunks and Bulma were racing towards the huge blasts of energy they heard, saw, and felt.
"Over there!" yelled Gohan, pointing to two figures fighting at the speed of light. Goku was there in a second, pulling apart Reenie and Vegeta.
~~At home at Bulma’s~~
"What were you two doing fighting!?" an outraged Bulma screamed. "Reenie, you could have gotten killed! And Vegeta, you could have killed her!" Reenie didn’t look at anyone, ashamed and angry at the same time. Vegeta closed his eyes and ignored them all.
"Well, obviously we’re not going to get a remark out of Mr. Stuck Up Prince Saiy-jin Reject over there, so let’s move onto Reenie." Vegeta’s eyes snapped open and he glared at Bulma. "Watch it, woman." He said with genuine warning in his voice. "Or what? You’re going to attack me? Ha! You can’t with Goku and the guys here. They’d break your neck before you got within three feet of me."
Vegeta looked around at the group of guys and snickered. "Bulma…" Reenie was hesitant, but everyone tuned in to listen to her. "I asked Vegeta to train me," she lied, "I was the one who attacked him first. I know it was really stupid, but I just wanted to fight. It looks so fun. And," she continued, as she painfully listened to the gasps and looked into the angry eyes of Gohan and Mirai, "I was trying to prove I could be just as good as the rest of you guys." She lifted her chin and stared Gohan full in the face. "If you can spar and train, so can I. I don’t care what I have to do, but you can’t judge me by my place as a female. I want to train. I have to train. I can’t sit around this house and do nothing but study and play with boring dolls. I mean, Goten and Trunks, you guys are wonderful, my best friends, but face it, this is all so boring!"
She paused, beginning to smile. "Vegeta saw what I could do. He saw my power. I can really fight, guys." She looked around the room. No one spoke, no one smiled, no one blinked. Finally, she got an idea. She stood, walked over to Goku, sat down on the floor next to him and laid her small head in his lap. "Goku-son, I wish to apologize. To me, you are the fatherly type person so I shall apologize to you first. I am sorry, Goku-son, for going off and fighting like a—a ditz," she glanced at Vegeta, his eyes still closed. "Forgive me?" Goku stared into her yes for a minute, then broke out into a large smile and nodded. "Good!" she stood, kissed his cheek and went on to the next person, Bulma, doiing the same thing. Bulma broke out into yelling again. "Reenie! This isn’t fair! You know I forgive you, so don’t ask. You’re such a little troll! Oh come here." She laughed and gave Reenie a hug, the girl giggling.
After a while, everyone opened up and things got back to normal.
"I still want to train," Reenie told Gohan while they sat next to each other under a large tree in Bulma’s yard later that night. "What’s so good about training? Bulma and Chichi don’t train but they seem perfectly happy being girls."
"Gohan, they’re women, with children who can fight. Why would they need to train? They have their children to worry about, and their husbands. They don’t need to worry about training. It’s just not fair."
This gave Gohan an idea…
"Reenie, this is going to be intense, but I’m willing to do this for you since you’re so intent on training. I can take you to a room where you can get two years worth of training in two days. Now, it’s going to feel weird, but trust me. In that room you can channel your power and do whatever you need to, to become as strong as you like. If I can get you in there, will you promise to stop worrying about train—"
He was cut off quickly and she threw her arms across his shoulders and kissed his cheek. "Oh, thank you! Oh Gohan, you don’t know how much this means to me!" After an awkward moment of holding him like this, she decided to go back inside. Ripped pants weren’t comfortable.
"I’ll see you tomorrow." She smiled shyly and walked inside.
"I saw everything." Came a voice from above Gohan. He looked up to find Mirai Trunks, and he hopped down from the tree and planted himself down next to Gohan. "You’re smiling."
"You’re not."
"How can I? Gohan, Reenie is only eleven. How can she possibly stand the pressure of that room?"
"I don’t know. It just popped up in my mind. But I know she can do it, we both felt what she pulled from within herself. Just wait. Besides, we get to see what she looks like at…thirteen? Unless she’s twelve. She never has told us her age. In fact, we don’t even know her birthday! Mirai! Why didn’t you find out?"
"Me? Oh, so it’s my fault nobody knows how old Reenie is?"
"As usual."
"You know what?"
"What?"
"Damare. All you are is talk."
"And you aren’t? Like you know what "school work" is. You’re all brawn and no brains."
"And? Do I care?"
"You should. Nobody pays a dummy."
"So you’re calling me a dummy?"
"No, I’m just saying—"
"You talk too much."
"And you don’t?"
"No."
"Yes."
"No, I don’t."
"Yes, you do."
"Well at least I don’t hit on eleven-year-old girls."
"Yeah, you do, you just haven’t recently."
"I’m 18."
"Does that matter?"
"Gohan…"
"Trunks…"
"I’m going to bed now. Arguing with you has ruined the night."
"Go to bed, poor baby."
"Don’t make me…"
"What, cry?"
"Gohan!"
"Trunks!" Gohan couldn’t help but laugh. Mirai Trunks rolled his eyes. "You better hope my mom doesn’t pound you into the ground for trying to take Reenie away from her."
"Yeah, I know."
Sorry this wasn’t such a fun chapter. I promise the next chapter will be better!
